Batman Returns

Batman Returns is the game most people received with their Lynxes. Although I maybe wrong, and maybe it was just the Lynx II's. But that's not important :)

Batman Returns by Atari is a great game to first experience the Lynx with. Based on the second Batman movie(before they really started to, well, you know, suck), you are Batman has to go through six treacherous levels to defeat the notorious Penguin. I don't know the storyline exactly since I did not get a manual with it.

The graphics are sweet. This is some awesome 2D stuff here. The animations are all there, and it has a lot of detail in the backgrounds. The color is of usual top-notch Lynx quality. The sounds are great as well. The music is pretty good. The graphics quality cannot be matched by any other hand-held. Of course, most Lynx games can't be done on any other hand-held either, but that's a different story.

You move along pretty fast. Not like Power Factor, but it's pretty good. The resolutions nice as well. No complaint with the controls. Then there's one problem-the problem that may very well make you not like this game, and that's the difficulty. So far, I haven't played anything this difficult on the Lynx. So right now, it's the Zero-5 of Lynx games in difficulty. I still haven't made it to Catwoman on level 2 yet. That's mostly due to the fact that I haven't played it much because it's so hard. You only have one life and no continues. So this is definently a game that will keep you challenged.

Aside from that, it's one of the best Batman games I've ever played. This takes all the Batman's on Game Boy and cremates them.
Ratings-

Graphics- A+ - Like I said, they are really cool, even compared to other Lynx games. Not to be missed.

Sounds/Music- A - I feel that they're nicely done. Stereo I think, but I'm not sure...

Control- A++ - It's easy to grasp. I had to figure them out without a manual, but that only took less than a minute.

Difficulty- Insane - It is, seriously. That alone may turn less experienced players away.

Fun Factor- B+ - If it wasn't so hard, it'd be funner to play. They should've included several levels of difficulty.
