Taekwondo consists of 10 grades of Color Belts and 9 levels of Black Belts. Belts : White, White-yellow, Yellow, Yellow-green, Green, Green-blue, Blue, Blue-red, Red, Red-black, Black. In Black Belt 6th dan and above become an International Master Instructor and Examiner. The prime objectives of Taekwondo is to prepare you mentally and physically to cope with any problem you may come accross; to increase your level of fitness, co-ordination and self control. Taekwondo Training consists of Five Major Components: - Pattern or form ( Poomse ) - Sparring ( Kyorugi ) - Breaking ( Kyukpa ) - Self-Defense ( Ho Shin Sool ) - Meditation ( Jung Shin Tong ) |
