Basically, all the bad guys are people you knew as good guys in your 'verse. But the most changed is Rahne. She's just plain, pure evil. I haven't figured out why yet, so if anybody wants to e-mail their ideas to me, go ahead. Rahne has a thing going on with Nathaniel Essex, namely Sinister. They have a pretty strange relationship going on. There's true love and everything, but their too . . . um, villianous to actually get a steady thing going. Pretty sad, huh? Let's move on to Paige Guthrie, aka Ripper. When she was pretty young and living on the farm, she met this guy from England. You guessed it, Jonothon Starsmore. They were too young to get legally married, but they acted as though they were. Skin comes into the picture as Jono's friend from one of his many travels, specifecally from LA. Jono is so proud and in love with Paige, that he invites Angelo to meet her. Whap, zang, Ang has fallen for Paige. For years, he festers and buries all his feelings for Paige out of respect for Jono. At the same time, Paige grows to think of Angelo as one of her closest friends, someone she can tell anything to. After awhile, it grows too much for everybody, and Jono and Ang end up squaring off one on one. They both are killed. Paige is desperate and takes their remains to Sinister, and begs for them back. He says he can do it and does. Only, he clones the guys into one guy, 1013. He tells Paige that 1013 is really Jono and Ang combined and uses the real Anf and Jono for his experimentation. Only Rahne and he know the truth. Moving on, Rogue and Gambit. In my reality, Rogue didn't absorb Carol Danvers, she absorbed Betsy Braddock. Onto the relationship front, she and Gambit were sort of good people, but very selfish. They wanted a way to be intimate, to get beyond Rogue's power. Sinister came to them and told them he could help them and did. Heused his technolgy to merge them, mentally, so that one cannot exist without the other. Rogue's power registers Gambit as an extension of Rogue, and so does not effect him. But physically, they both have the red eyes and the white stripes and their accents are merged. Now they are pretty much all evil, thanks to Sinister's tamperings. Shadowcat. Sit down, this is gonna be wierd. Katherine Pryde was a very old woman and suddenly contracted Legacy. Her body was dying so she went to Nanny. Nanny youthened her so much that the Legacy Virus hadn't taken effect yet. Now, Kate is a ninety three year old in a six year old body. Her new body is so fragile that she can't fight so she and Nanny developed a computer personna to fight in her place, guided from a distance by Kate. This robot is called Shadowcat, Nanny's Orphanmaker. Nanny and Shadowcat "freed" dozens of mutants before meeting up with Sinister and joining the Marauders. |
