About a month ago during the week of Independence Day, a conference was held between the late President Brandon Koop and myself the late Vice President/Ambassador. The following is a brief summary of the events and the discussions that took place:
First off, we discussed the most important topic of all. The presidency of the Project. This indeed was a serious matter. Brandon admitted that he was not fit for the title of President of Project: Chrono-Warp and he admitted he had been abusing his rights as the President and had ignored all responsibilities of that title. The way I told him how it all went down almost seemed liked an interrogation. Which, in a way, it was. I offered to take the title myself, and he agreed that I would be the best candidate seeing as how I do 70-75% of all the work concerning the Project and he didn't even barely do 1%. I said that I most likely would only be a temporary sit in until someone better could fill the job position. He argued that no one else better could fit the title better than me and of course I was in no position at the time to argue with him. He made several good points.
Moving on, we discussed the future of Project: Chrono-Warp. I spilled out numerous ideas whereas of course he did not. My ideas were more like in a way predictions. Let me explain. One of my ideas was to get more people besides myself to work on and maintain the homepage. I did not however have an idea of who at the time. Another idea was to find a new Vice President, a new Chief Designer, as well as a possible new Ambassador. Neither of us had an idea of who for any of the positions at the time. One thing for sure that we both agreed on was that there is a future for Project: Chrono-Warp. It was all just a matter of who would control it.
One small topic that came up was quite important. One word: funding. As most of you by now might have noticed Project: Chrono-Warp has very little funding. About the only funding we get is our allowances, pay checks, and so forth. So, I introduced the idea of asking the government for funding. Brandon laughed at the thought of such an idea but when you get right down to it, Project: Chrono-Warp isn't really doing much as of this moment. Namely because we have little funding to do anything with except buy books and come up with more ideas to use our funding for and then we're back at the drawing board. One major problem besides the Presidency of the Project is that we do not manage our money enough to do any good for the Project which when you think about it is a bigger problem than the Presidency. We can't get anything done. We haven't accomplished anything since probably last September or so and here it is August. And why is that you ask? Because we don't know where to use our money correctly if at all.
Continuing on, the topic of membership popped up. This indeed a a bit of a problem seeing as more and more people are asking to be a member. This is a good thing but it becomes a bad thing when they become a member and they don't do anything. No member of this Project doesn't really do much of anything. Yet. This is not meant to be an insult. When you become a memebr I assign you a position. However, after I do that, most of you really don't do much of anyting after that. And I will take all the blame for that. The reason for that being is because there are beginning to be so many members and it's extremely hard to contact all of you. Most of the time when any of you try to contact me I don't respond until anywhere from a week to a month later. I rarely respond the same day you tried to contact me.
I will now shift into the next topic of objectives. This indeed is a very important topic seeing as how it shows us what we need and want to do with Project: Chrono-Warp. Our old objectives were to get more people to join the Project, provide a webpage full of information for the public, and basically try to build a machine that creates a stable wormhole that is traversable and will allow people to travel to infinite amounts of parallel universes. A timer, a Trans-dimensional Facilitator, a Quantum Probability Translocator, call it what you will. Some of those are still our objectives. Our future objectives are basically the same. Get even more people to join the Project, provide an even better webpage full of information, and eventually try to build "the machine". This brings me to the next and final topic.
Last but not least is the future of the Project homepage. As many of you may know by now is that I plan on moving this site to it's very own dot com. As soon as all the paper work is finished, we will be moving. I do not know when though. Now, the most controversal sub-topic of all. Two words: The Lab. Now, I know there have been many opinions, questions, and complaints about this section. But here's the way it's gonna go down. The Lab is a section where Members Only can access all or any information about the technical aspects of Project: Chrono-Warp. Now, the problem with the section is that I cannot get a working password system. All and any attempts at installing HTML coding for a password system have failed. And the reason why The Lab is still not working is because I have been ignoring it. That damn section has giving me so many headaches. And the reason I have been ignoring it is because all or any attempts at creating a password system have either not worked worked at all or it worked to well meaning even I could not access The Lab. What I'm about to say many if not all of you have read in your emails. I do not know when the Lab will be done and it will be done as soon as possible. And I don't know when "soon" is. If I had a deadline, I'd tell you when to expect it done, but because I don't, I have nothing to tell you except to be patient. And when The Lab is done, you'll be glad you waited so long. Because I have just explained The Lab problem, I expect NO MORE EMAILS about The Lab. If I see any more, I will delete them.
The previous was a brief summary about the topics discussed at the conference. If you have any questions about the conference feel free to email me about anything(except The Lab).
