Hunters: Epilogue

She held the letter in her shaking hand, watching the text scroll before her eyes.

There was nothing here to cause fear or hate, nothing that would merit her next action. Simply a letter filled with longing, a father writing to a long-lost son.

There was nothing here to cause her to lift a finger against the harmless words. Simply a letter directed to someone else, a man she loved.

She shouldn't be reading this - it wasn't for her eyes. It wasn't her news.

And it wasn't bad news. It could even be considered welcome.

And yet . . . .

"Computer, delete message."
