Most Tellosians know by now that my alter ego, Figaro, loves "Digimon," so some of you might think that he created me simply as a parody of the Digimon character Greymon. Well, let me tell you the REAL story.
I only discovered my raging abilities a short time ago. Before then, I was just plain Figaro, a 6'4" grad student and aspiring musician and comic book reader. I participated in my first ever online chat the Sunday of the Official Chat for Tellos #8. It was there I first met Xavier, and Lion Warrior soon followed. They seemed like nice enough guys, but I was soon to discover that there was more to them than meets the eye. A LOT more.
One night I was chatting with Xavier and LW when suddenly they started changing! Xavier changed into various forms of this hideous creature called EVILXAVIER, and LW took on the form of a creature called RAGE! I was scared and didn't know what to do, when all of a sudden, I noticed that I was changing, too! Since this was taking place inside an online chat room, I thought I was digivolving. I turned into my current form and decided to name myself GREYFIGARO, after my favorite Digimon character, Greymon. Since I have no weapons in my house, I grabbed the first thing I saw--my Korg DS-8 Synthesizer--not knowing what I would do with it. Needless to say, my first fights went terribly, resulting in loss of limbs on several occasions. Fortunately, when I changed back into Figaro, my limbs grew back again. I finally developed the MUSICNOTEATTACK--using my synthesizer to produce very high-pitched frequencies to stop the opponent. Sort of like Shriek on "Batman Beyond," except my hearing is just fine. LW finally answered my questions about transforming. He explained that the transformation process was called raging and was quite different than digivolving because I was not a monster to begin with, I was not using a digivice to transform, and I could do this in both the real AND digital worlds. He also told me that since my name was Figaro and I was now a grey timber wolf, the name GREYFIGARO still applied; in fact, it had much greater meaning now.
Recently I encountered Lord Golgoth. At first I resisted him because I hated the thought that a villain finally controlled the world, and I was defeated. But Lord Golgoth spared my life, and I soon discovered that under that cold mask he is a generous lord indeed. He even appointed me as Minister of Music and commissioned me to write a theme for him. Now I spend my time lurking in the shadows of the CBR chat room and fighting for truth, justice, all mankind, and the American way. But when Lord Golgoth summons me to his side in the Tellos chat room, I join forces with BLACKRAVEN MIKHAIL, Minister of Art, to fight whoever is foolish enough to challenge us.
