Serving Tips

It is important to know just what *serving* means, and the steps involved when serving..a girl believes that first learning the *steps* is more important than learning the various drinks that Gor has available..because, all the steps are pretty much the same..the only things that change from serve to serve is the drink you are getting, and what you're pouring the drink in..(mug, goblet or bowl)

The steps are basically the same no matter what you're serving.. if you are asked to serve a drink that you are not familiar with, check the list below to see what the drink is..you can always ask any of the other girls in private for help..if there is nobody there to help you, just make sure you let the Master/Mistress you are serving know that you are new..most are very understanding and patient and may even help you through it if there is nobody else around.

Please remember that when you serve you are doing so from your heart.  IRC has a limited type of interaction, the Free cannot see you, cannot truely touch you but you *can* feel them.  The steps for serving on IRC are basically the same as the way you would serve RealLife if you were at that FreePerson's house.  Speaking from experience, if you cannot feel what you are doing, if you look at it as rote memorization, then you have learned nothing.

Types of Drinks:

Please refer to the previous page for explanations on what each drink is. This section will deal with vessels and ways to serve, for a more complete description contact a sister or ask your Owner.

Ale | Bazi Tea | Blackwine | Chocolate | Ka-la-na | Kal-da | Mead | Paga | Sul Paga | Ta Wine | Turian Liquor | Turian Wine

Ale: Go to the servery and fetch either a drinking horn or a tankard. Tap the ale cask in the servery to fill the vessel then take the full vessel to the FreePerson's feet and serve.

Bazi Tea: Go to the servery and fetch a tray, bowls of sugars, three small cups, a small teapot and bazi leaves. Fill the pot with boiling water and the leaves and let it seep. Place the pot, sugars and cups on the tray and take it all to the FreePerson's feet. Pour, add sugar, and serve each cup one by one, only offering the next when the first is handed back to you. Each cup has an offering statement, the ones usually used refer to 'Past, Present, and Future'. *see a trainer or sister for more details*(please note that this ceremony, while expected by many, has been created mostly on irc)

Blackwine: First ask the FreePerson how they like their blackwine and then go to the servery. Take down a *cup* (not a mug) and fill from a nearby pot of blackwine before adding creams and/or sugars to the FreePerson's liking. (Note - when a Master says 'secondslave' He means He wishes His drink black.. no sugar or cream. 'Firstslave' can refer to wishing both sugars and creams though that particular term is an irc invention.)

Chocolate: Prepared just as you would prepare hot chocolate within your house from unsweetened powder. Go to the severy and take down a mug, heat milk and add along with the powdered chocolate and sugars to taste. You may also add clotted or whipped cream ontop if you wish to prepare it.

Ka-la-na: Served in a goblet, found in bottles upon a rack in the servery. The best ka-la-na comes from Arian vineyars. Preferably fill the goblet in the serving area and bring the filled vessel to the FreePerson's feet.

Kal-da: Served in a drinking bowl, this drink can normally be found simmering over a fire or warmed upon the hearth. Ladle the drink within the vessel, take the filled vessel to the FreePerson's feet.

Mead: Served in a drinking horn or a goblet, this drink is filled from casks within the serving area. The full vessel brought to the FreePerson's feet.

Paga: Served in a footed bowl, though it can be served in almost any vessel. Paga can be found in bottles, in botas, it can be dipped from vats, ect.. Most depends on the room you are serving in.

Sul Paga: see paga

Ta Wine: Served the same as Ka-la-na.

Turian Liquor: Served in a glass, sugared heavily, found in bottles in the serving area.

Turian Wine: Served the same as Ka-la-na.
