Professor X Turns off Magneto’s Mind X-Men # 25  1993

After Magneto reappeared after his apparent death and introducing his acolytes to the X-men during Llyana Rasputin’s funeral, Mags unleashed an electromagnetic pulse across the entire world.  This completely shut down all electrical and communications systems on the planet.  Magneto become to much of a threat for Prof X to ignore any longer.  Prof X finally realized that he could never convince Magneto not to declare all out war on humanity.

With a small band of specially selected X-Men, Prof X raided Magneto’s stronghold.  During the encounter, Wolverine was injured severely and changed forever.  This was it.  With Rogue and Quicksilver injuring Mags mentally and Wolvie  and Gambit injuring Mags physically,  Prof X, with an added boost from Jean Grey, was able to go into Mag’s mind and turn it off.                        Return
