Raistlin

The young and frail mage in red robes is one of the most interesting

characters in the beginning of the Dragonlance Saga.

His golden skin, hourglass eyes and terrible cough give him at first the

appearance of vulnerability and strangeness. But, very fast the reader

discovers that there is also power there in these strange eyes and

whispery voice.   

His special connection to his twin, Caramon, the bond between them

and their work together are very complicated and interesting, only the

lust for more power, and it's gaining, throw them apart.

Raistlin is an example of the adventuring wizard who seeks, and finds, his

fortune in his power, but discovers that power can sometime take you too

far and sacrifices himself to save the world from the implications of his deeds

(or did he?...)
