Elminster,

The sage from Shadowdale

is just the kind of wizard

you'd expect to have a study

such as this.

Probably with more mess

and books, lots of books.

He is very old. Enough for

most people to know him as an

old man, beard and all.

As a sage his expertise is

Magic (of course), monsters

and other worlds. The last

one being the result of

his many travels.

Not only is he the greatest wizard

of his world - "Faerun" - but he

specializes in traveling magic

making moving between dimensions,

planes of existence and worlds seem

almost casual.

Elminster, too, tends to fit

the Wizard Sage description.

He usually doesn't interfere in

anything unless he decides it's

important enough, and then, too

he gives advice or a little

help but seldom participates

fully in the adventure.
