Z-110 ACID RESISTANT COMBAT ARMOR
The Z-110 armor uses the typical E-suit design but it is coated with an acid neutralizing agent. When the suit comes into contact with acid the area of the suit regrows with the agent. Large amounts of acid cannot be coped with but this gives marines a fighting chance in a hive environment also there is only a limed supply of agent in a tank attached to the rear of the suit but it can be refilled by an external source. The suit is also much lighter than the typical E-suit due to advances in materials. The suit isn't restricting in movement either which makes it ideal for enclosed area fighting. It also has the same features as the M3 armor in absorbing fragmentation from explosions and gun fire.
This armor is now in use by our marines for use in drops where the Xenomorph are expected.
SOUND CANNON
The sound cannon freezes the Xenomorph nervous system so it cannot move or communicate. It sends out strong electromagnetic signals which disrupt the aliens psychic receiver in it's frontal lobe. This receiver contains Fullerite and Hurlantium that pickup E-waves and the binary fans create interference patterns from electromagnetic fields. So it not only receives brainwaves but enable the alien to asses another animals physical characteristics by seeing its subtle body. The problem with the system is that it can only be on for a few minutes as it drains a lot of power and generates extremely high amounts of heat if it is left on for longer than 4 minutes the system becomes unstable and explodes.
The sound cannon is now used to capture samples of new mutations of the species from different species.
TAZER WEB
The Tazer web is a typical high tensile web net but it has a high electric charge which is used to stun the creature. There is also another variant which the web is covered in microscopic needles which are covered in a stun drug. The web is a new development and has not yet been tested in the field. We are hoping it can be used to transport live alien specimens to status tubes and the real test will be to capture a live predator for research.
