One Moment Please...
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron

In a galaxy, far far away... You are Luke Skywalker, flight leader of the renowned Rogue Squadron. You fly strafe missions, bombing missions, all in desperate hope to cripple the doomed Empire. This is one game I highly recommend.

Intro to your space craft...

The Incom T-65 X-Wing

This is the standard craft used by the Rebel Alliance. The Incom T-65 has a set of unique doubled-layered wings also known as s-foils. The ship has its four laser cannons as a primary weapon, whereas its proton torpedos as its secondary weapons. The craft is accompanied by an R2 unit that fits in the ship, just behind the cockpit. The X-Wing was used thoughout the battles fought against the empire, especially during the destruction of the first Death Star where Rebel hero, Luke Skywalker gained his fame for destroying it.

The A-Wing Fighter

The A-Wing, is the Rebellion's fastest ship, almost equal to it's Imperial counterpart, the TIE-Interceptor. It's shields are very weak, but it's fire power can still pack a heavy punch. It's manuverability and speed makes up for all it's frailties.

The Incom T-47 Speeder

This is more of a planetary aircraft. It seats two people, the pilot in the front and the gunner in the back. This craft won it's fame during the Battle of Hoth, where the Rebels had to protect their people from an Imperial onslaught of Echo Base. The speeder has no shields, but is very strong in armor. Since it is more of a planetary craft, the speeder tends to fly faster when hugging the ground, whereas it slows, considerably, up higher in the atmosphere. It yields two laser blasters in the front, as well as the back, and comes with a versatile tow cable used for many reasons...say, tripping up Imperial walkers?

The Y-Wing Bomber

This heavily armored and shielded craft, is mainly used for bombing missions. Once the backbone of the Rebel fleet, this bomber has a slow speed, good for accurate bombings. It is not well-suited for dogfights and would certainly not stand a chance. This craft has an Ion Cannon fixed on top of the cockpit that knocks out computer systems with ion pulses and disables the intended target. It is accompanied with an R2 unit that allows for shield remodulation and ship repairs.

The V-Wing Fighter

Almost as fast, if not as fast than the A-Wing, the V-Wing is a new craft introduced for planetary use. It yields twin laser cannons that enables use of rapid fire. The boosters placed in the back allow for quick getaways with an extra speed thrust. The V-Wing is armed with six Cluster Missles perfect for hitting mutiple targets. This craft, one could say, is almost the exact opposite of the Speeder. At higher altitudes, the V-Wing flies faster than at lower altitudes.

The Naboo Starfighter

The recently discovered craft from Star Wars: Episode One: The Phantom Menace, is one of the fastest, if the not the fastest, craft in Rogue. This swift fighter is very manuverable, and can easily out-run a TIE-Interceptor. The outdated craft, compared to the other Rebel spacecrafts, comes with an amazing, ten Seeker Proton Missles, making the Naboo Starfighter the best of the other ships.

The Naboo Starfighter can now be accessed by a newly discovered code that was released back in July 1999. The code is being hailed as one of the best-kept secrets for the Nintendo 64:

On the codes screen type in HALIFAX? for your first code, then type in !YNGWIE! and presto! You are now able to fly your very own Naboo Starfighter, just like Anakin!
