The 1:6 Scale Bob Hope Sees Some Vermont Countryside

The 1:6 version of Bob Hope is traveling the world as he is hosted by GI Joe collectors around the globe. This page details Bob's stay with ScottE (aka HoloSuite) for an October 1999 week in Vermont and Points Above.

It's pleasure before business for our Hollywood Hero. Bob takes some time out of his busy schedule to visit some Vermont country locations. It's getting cooler here among the Green Mountains, so Bob has borrowed a leather jacket from a local Flying Tiger to keep warm. His first stop is an apple orchard.

Bob decides to try his hands at apple picking. This is a dangerous undertaking for the sixth of scale. After a few precarious moments as he struggles for a handhold, Bob is ultimately successful in reaching his goal.

Bob decides to take it a little easier and opts for the Hay Ride and Pumpkin Patch next.

Having survived the apple picking, Bob gets a hankering to get on the road. He's off to Stowe, to see some sights along the bike path. After an initial attempt to ride solo, Bob is forced to admit that he's just not up to the task. He graciously accepts a ride and watches the scenario roll by from his backpack pocket perch. His host, ScottE, makes a cameo appearance toting Bob in front of the camera. Note the 1:1 army issue wool coat. Just the thing for Autumn biking.

It turned out to be a great day for sightseeing in Vermont. Here's a snowcapped Mount Mansfield looking over the town of Stowe. At 4,393 feet, the top of the highest peak in Vermont is shrouded in clouds.
