The South Ford Toll Patrol

The South Ford Toll Patrol

Here is the page that records all the patrols taken to the South River Toll. I would suggest reading this if you are considering taking this patrol.

South Ford Patrol One
By: Deathdagger
Gold Collected: 126 gold coins
Number of Beast Seen: 4 beasts
Other Items: A sapphire ring
Notes: none
Patrol Event: I sat in the bushes, idly watching the road. Along came a fat mouse with three gaurds. I rose in front of them. They hadn't seen me, so the fat mouse nearly jumped out of his fur. I said softly, "If you wish to pass, pay the toll of six gold coins." The fat mouse agreed, trembling mightily, and handed them over. While he did this, I stole his purse, and the ring. As his gaurds passed, I stole their purses. It was rather uneventful, yet enriching.

South Ford Patrol Two
By: NightHawk
Gold Collected: 35 gold coins
Number of Beast Seen: 6 beasts
Other Items: A badger broadsword
Notes: none
Patrol Event: I was at the south ford bridge waiting for some beast to come by, It was aready getting dark and was about to start back without a single toll when a badger surronded by five dibbins came in to sight, I was luckly because he hadn't seen me yet. I went behind some tree's waiting for him to come. A little while later he was at the bridge. "I ah hungery mister Jaggerrock, I want to have dinner!" complained a dibbin. "Soon little Serria, soon" said the badger. I then pick up a big stone and waited untill the badger came by, And hit him in the back of the head. The badger fell to the ground unconstance. "Ahhh!" screamed the dibbin. I was about to make my self my own dibbin fur coat when I saw that the badger had a pouce at his side. I took it hearing some coins ratting inside. I opened the pouce and counted 30 gold coins. "Not enounge little dibbin's I said as I laughed evily, I then saw the sword in the badger's paw. I bent down and got it just as the badger came back to life, I! drew the sword to the badger's neck and said in a low voice "If you value your life run with your dumb dibbin's back to your lousy Salamandastron" he nodded his hand and got up slowly, grabbing the dibbins paws he started to run back the way he came. A hour later a small mouse waving a spear came up to me at the bridge "Let me pass or a slay you vermin!" He said, "Not untill you pay the toll," I said, "How much is this toll" He asked not so bravely as he once was. "Five gold coins, " I answered. The mouse went to his belt and took a small pouce and trew it at me as he ran off. Inside was five coins. I decided that the 35 coins was enough I took off towards home.
