BEAST
WARS: TOY REVIEW
Name: RAZORBEAST
Allegiance: Maximal
Function: Infantry
Beast Mode: Boar
Average Price: 12 AUD
BEAST MODE
He’s a rather ugly wild boar. He’s 60mm tall, and about 100mm
long (with his tail adding maybe a centimetre in length).
His face is all screwed up because it splits into three
pieces. It looks like a Muppet pig. His ‘mane’ looks like a toupee because
it’s meant to be removed and becomes his gun. On the bright side, he has
four points of articulation; all his legs can be moved, letting you pose
him a fair bit for a beast mode (especially an early beast mode).
TRANSFORMATION TO ROBOT MODE
Pull his beast mode tail up and he flip-changes into robot
mode. You then just need to move the beast legs up behind his body. That’s
it, he’s an early regular flip-changer, don’t expect any more. His gun
almost takes as long to transform as he does.
ROBOT MODE
Nothing spectacular, almost exactly the same as Rattrap.
9 meaningful points of articulation. He stands about 105mm tall.
More than that not much needs to be said. He suffers from
beast-head-chest syndrome (I mean really suffers, the other Maximals must
tease the crap out of him). His gun is silly (he’s holding a wig with double
gun-muzzles coming out of it) but at least he has one. All in all he’s
JUST a regular toy. Nothing special.
RUB STICKER LOCATION
None.
OVERALL
If you haven’t bought Razorbeast by now then you’ll be hard-pressed
to find him (he’s still around in some Aussie stores, though). But to rate
him… he’s about a C. Nothing special, really.
