TRANSFORMATION TO GREAT 3 TRAIN MODE

Link them together at the front and end couplings. Each train can link up with either one. Usually when a train climbs a steep slope, the front train acts as the engine and pulls the other along the other trains as carriages.

GESTALT TRAIN MODE


They can run very fast. In TV animation, they ran over 500km/h. I recommend this mode to display in your room.

TRANSFOMATION TO GESTALT ROBOT

J-Five: Dettach weapon. Turn head 180 degrees. While pushing head raise JRX's head to J-Five's back. Turn forearms 180 degrees and set to shoulders. Close shoulders on the top of robot. Close heels and turn top of the toes 90 degrees. Close sides of waist-pads. Separate waist to form JRX's shoulders and fold JRX's shoulder joint to the  front a little.
Fold down arms. Pull out fists and turn thumbs.

J-Seven: Dettach shield. Close head. Turn wrists 90 degrees towards the back. Do the same with the arms. Lift up chest. Slide chest part in the front along rail. Rotate driver's compartment 180 degrees. (This is easier if you open the sides of the train a bit). Open up top of train at a right angle. Fold heels and rotate top of toes 90 degrees. Rotate waist 180 degrees. Lift up legs. Rotate top and bottom of body conversely. Open legs all the way and bend knees at  90 degrees.

 J-Four: Dettach weapon. Fold head. Raise shoulder pads. Fold arms and conceal them with shoulder pads. Raise his waist armour and bring down chest.

Unite!:. First attach J-Five to J-Seven. Then attach J-Seven and J-Four. Attach J-Seven's joint to the top of J-Four. Then lock J-Four's back
on top of J-Seven.
To form J-Laser rifle,  Rotate the scope of J-Four's rifle to the front. Fold grip of J-Five's rifle. Attach the right sideof J-Five's rifle to the top of the handle of J-Four's rifle.
Attach "J-Laser rifle" and shield on his each fist.

GESTALT ROBOT MODE

He looks like a very streamlined and slender robot. In the TV animation, he moves very fast !! He is coloured blue and white. The abdomen and wings are black and gray. There are yellow spots on his knees. The helmet and visor are made of transparent parts. Mechanical feature on the  moulding can be seen through the helmey, but I can't see the eyes beneath the visor too well. The visor's surface is rough. I would prefer it if it were smoother. Although the shoulders are very thin he can still raise his arms quite well. At first, I was anxious about the shoulder width being too short. It does look a bit dorky though. There are 22 points of articulation.

Gimmick: Push switch on laser rifle. Red LED flashes.
 

OVERALL

A very slender toy. It looks very cool displayed in my room. However the number of poses he can strike is disappointingly limited, and it is balance can be a problem because the ankles are not very sturdy. This is exacerbated by the weight of the wings on the back, shifting more weight to the top of the toy. But it is still a very cool figure and I do like it.

Also, if you get the JRX "gift set," not only is it marginally cheaper than collecting each "Team Shinkansen" member separately, but you also get JRX's Tech Specs.
