Super Life Form Transformers Beast Wars METALS. *Profile: Of all the experiments conducted by the Maximal Elders, few have turned out as disastrously as "Protoform X", also known as Rampage. In an attempt to duplicate the indestructible mutant Spark of the Decepticon warrior Starscream, a Spark was experimented on and the result was a dangerous, intelligent and crazed robot. Rampage was the dark secret of the Axalon's journey. Only Optimus Primal, Rhinox and Rattrap were aware of the contents of the Protoform X stasis pod at the time. However, when the Axalon was forced to dump all its stasis pods, Rampage's was one of those that fell to Earth. When the pod was exposed to an energon surge, Rampage took on a new form of a Transmetal with a tank mode and a crab mode. His lust for destruction and terror, which his Spark feeds on, continued until the Maximals and Blackarachnia managed to stop him. Predacon leader Megatron found Rampage and using an energon knife, cut out a piece of Rampage's indestructible Spark, thus giving him the ability to control the dangerous giant. Rampage does not follow Megatron willingly however, and is often uncooperative. Especially after Megatron used Rampage's spark portion to create the fierce Transmetal 2 Dinobot! Rampage was finally destroyed in a final duel with Depth Charge near the Decepticon ship Nemesis. It was Rampage's destruction that caused the completion of Transmetal 2 Dinobot's spark. |
