Profile: Dirge and his partner Thrust are the Destron comic relief characters. Constantly bungling things up and getting into trouble, they are much like the Predacon Waspinator - twofold. Like his counterpart, Dirge speaks in Kansaiben (dialect spoken in some Western regions of Japan). The two jets are easily manipulated by Starscream. 

Dirge is gifted with a sharp tongue (so to speak) as he is adept at spontaneously hurling malicious insults. In robot mode, his weapon, Dirge Gun, is stored in his leg compartment. However it can be modified into a long barrelled mode to increase it's power. 

Dirge is a gourmet who is particular about the quality and preparation methods of energy. This worked against him in one particular instance where both he and Thrust had seized the Cybertron ship with Cybertron prisoners. Inspite of this, the Jointron brothers managed to turn the tables by allowing the Destrons to indulge in some very well prepared oil. When the pair became drunk senseless, the Jointrons took them prisoner and regained control of the Cybertron ship.

Dirge was later rebuilt into the Cyber Beast, Dirgegun.

The shrewdest among all the Destrons, he enjoys a good prank and has a reputation for being utterly goofy. In robot mode, he can store his weapon, Thrust Gun, in his leg compartment. However, it can be modified into a long barrelled mode to increase it's power. Thrust is prone to rusting from sea air and salt water. Hence he despises the Cybertron, Scuba.
