Wargear

A Captain may have up to 3 wargear cards. The Captain may be given additional equipment chosen from the Armour, Assault Weapons, Special Weapons and Grenades sections of the Wargear lists. The Captain may ride a bike (+20 points). If he wears terminator armour he may not ride a bike or take a juggernaut, steed or disc as a Chaos Reward.

Marks of Chaos and Chaos Rewards

The Captain may have one or more of the following Marks of Chaos:

Tzeentch

20 Points

Khorne

30 points

Slaanesh

10 points

Nurgle

20 points

However, a Word Bearer Company Captain may forgo a mark of any particular god and pick, instead, a blessing of Chaos Undivided. In battle he calls on the raw power of Chaos to assist him in his war. For 35 points extra this may be chosen, but if he does this then no other marks may be chosen. If used, roll 2D6 at the beginning of the battle. The result you get is a "Modifier Pool", an amount of which you can modify your and your opponents rolls with. For example, if an enemy Space Marine wishes to hit one of your Rhinos, you can use the points in the pool to modify the roll, so as where ordinarily your opponent would hit on a 3+, you could use 3 points from the pool to make it a 6+ to hit. Four points is the maximum amount you can ever play at on time.

If a Captain chooses the Mark of Tzeentch, he may be a psycher with a mastery level of 1-4. Each level costs 30 points.

A captain may also choose Chaos Rewards, and when allocating them treat them as wargear cards in the way of filling wargear slots.

Strategy

A Captain has a Strategy Rating of 5, or 3+D3, the player may choose.

Special

The Captain is subject to fanatic zeal and rapid fire.
