Allies

A Black Legion army may be accompanied with by the following allied troops chosen from the Chaos Codex: Noise Marine, Thousand sons and Plague Marines. The reason for this is that only very rarely will the Word Bearers call for aid from these troops who bear specific marks of Chaos. Khorne Bezerkers are exempt from this rule as the Blood Company of the Black Legion has willingly given itself over to the worship of Khorne. Also, if your opponent agrees before the battle, you may choose allied troops from the Chaos Cult army list and Imperial Guard. You may ignore the command structure, as many officers will have been "purged" long ago, but neither are you allowed to use reserves and pre-battle barrages.

Black Legion Dreadnought…135 points + weapons

A Black Legion Dreadnought is an insane and murderous killing machine, "controlled" by an unfortunate Champion.

Black Legion Land Raider…220 points

These huge machines of war are capable vehicles and versatile in their many roles.

Crew:

One Space Marine Driver and two Space Marine Gunners

Weapons:

Twin Linked Lascannons in each side mount and twin linked heavy bolters in the pintel mount. All crew are armed with Bolt pistols.

Armour:

All Crew wear power armour (3+ save)

Transport:

The Land Raider is designed to take a full squad of 10 Space Marines or 5 Terminators.

Black Legion Rhino…50 points

The Rhino is one of the most common of all Space Marine vehicles. It has been in service long before the Heresy and continues to serve to this very day by the Imperium and also the forces of Chaos.

Twin linked bolters. In addition, the Driver is armed with a bolt pistol.

The Rhino is designed to take a full squad of 10 Space Marines or 5 Terminators.

Black Legion Predator…90 points

The Predator is a common variant of the Rhino design. Forgoing transport capacity it sports a variety of powerful weapons allowing it to serve in a fire support role.

Crew:

One Space Marine Driver and one gunner for each weapon system attached (3 with side sponsons attached).

Weapons:

One autocannon mounted in the turret. In addition all the crew are armed with bolt pistols.

Armour:

All crew wear power armour (3+ save)

Options:

The Predator may be fitted with two side sponsons (one for each side). Each sponson carries one of the following: lascannon at +45 points, heavy bolter at +15 points, or heavy flamer at +25 points. The Predator may replace its standard armament of a single autocannon for twin linked lascannons at a cost of +30 points.
