Sleep Relaxed All Night
Patter To Aid In Getting A Restful Sleep
Your entire body is beginning to relax completely now. A wonderful, sinking, soft feeling is entering your body. You feel every muscle and every nerve relaxing more and more with every breath you take. Now think of your feet and make your feet relax. Make the muscles and nerves in your feet relax as you feel this wonderful feeling of relaxation move through your ankles and into the calves of your legs and the calves of your legs are relaxing.
Every muscle and nerve in the calves of your legs are relaxed. Concentrate on relaxing every muscle and nerve in the calves of your legs as you feel this soothing feeling move through your knees and into your thighs and feel your thighs relax completely.
Feel every muscle and nerve in your thighs relax. Your thighs are very relaxed and very comfortable. Make those muscles relax and feel your hips relax. Now think of your stomach and you feel this warm, soft, soothing feeling enter your stomach and feel every muscle and every nerve in your stomach relax completely. Feel all the tension and tightness in your stomach leave you. There is no tension, there is no tightness in your stomach. All the muscles are relaxed. So very, very, relaxed.
Now feel your chest relax. With every breath you take your breathing becomes easier and easier. Every muscle and nerve in your chest is relaxed completely. With each breath, your breathing becomes easier and easier. So very relaxed and very comfortable. You have no cares and you have no worries. You are in that wonderful, beautiful, restful, soothing land of relaxation and you hear every word I speak.
Now feel this feeling of relaxation enter your shoulders and make your shoulders relax. Make every muscle and nerve in your shoulders relax as you feel this feeling of relaxation enter your arms and feel all the muscles and nerves in your arms relax completely.
Your upper arms are relaxed. You feel this feeling move through your elbows and into your forearms. And your forearms are relaxed. And the feeling of relaxation moves through your wrist and into your hands and fingers and your hands and fingers are relaxed. Your arms are so very heavy with relaxation.
Now feel this feeling of relaxation move into your back and feel every muscle and nerve in your back relax completely. This feeling of relaxation moves slowly throughout your back and you feel every muscle relax. Complete relaxation engulfs you. Your neck is so very relaxed now. Complete relaxation in every muscle and nerve in your neck.
Now feel this feeling of relaxation move into your face and you feel every muscle and every nerve in your cheeks and around your mouth and your chin relax completely. Feel your face relax. Make your face relax. And make your forehead relax. Every muscle and nerve in your face is relaxed now. The lines of tension are leaving your forehead as you relax completely now. Even your scalp is relaxed and every muscle and every nerve from the top of your head to the tips of your toes is relaxed. You will continue to go deeper and deeper asleep with every breath you take and every word I speak.
Now I want you to picture in your mind's eye a softly lit, carpeted stairway of your favorite color. Now picture this in your mind's eye. The light is very soft. The carpet is very plush and feels so good to walk on. You are standing at the top of the stairway and know that when you reach the bottom you will be completely relaxed in every way. As I count from 10 to 1 you will walk slowly down the stairway, relaxing with every breath you take, and every word I speak. You will always hear, understand, and respond to my voice.
10, now begin your trip down the stairway to complete relaxation and deep, deep sleep. 9, going down slowly. 8, such a pleasant trip. 7, going down slowly. 6, going deeper and deeper. 5, the carpet so soft to your feet and it is so beautiful to your eyes. 4, going down slowly. 3, walking slowly down the stairway, almost at the bottom now and going deeper and deeper asleep. 2, one step to go. 1, all the way down to the very basement of relaxation.
Now you are deep and fast asleep and will remain so until your regular awakening time in the morning. You feel so completely relaxed and wonderful that you don't want to awaken except in case of an emergency. So relaxed and so deep asleep. feel the relaxation covering you like a warm golden blanket. Feel the sleep soothing your mind. You have no cares and no worries.
Relax. Sleep. Feel every muscle and every nerve in your body relax completely. Your feet and legs are relaxed. Your hips and stomach are relaxed. Your chest and shoulders are relaxed. Your arms and back are relaxed. Your neck and face are relaxed. Your entire head is relaxed. Your are completely relaxed and will remain relaxed while you sleep.
In the morning when you awaken you will be relaxed, refreshed, alert, and feeling wonderful in every way. You will feel so wonderful that you will look forward to the experience each night. Now sleep deeply. Deeply. Deeply. You feel wonderful. Go deeper asleep. Sleep. Feeling wonderful and relaxed. Sleep all night. Feel every muscle and every nerve in your body relax completely. Relax, go deeper and sleep all night. Start walking down the stairway again and go deeper and deeper asleep with every step you take. That's right, go deeper asleep as you walk down the beautiful stairway. Breath easy and relax.
