Patter To Improve Psychic Abilities
This is another page that has multiple "patters" for you to chose from. Plus instead of just printing a patter, we will take a couple of moments to discuss what we are trying to achieve.
Developing your psychic powers is a job that never seems to be completed. There are so many things to do and we never seem to have enough time to do them. We spend all day trying to earn enough money to survive yet the ability is within all of us to make this the easy life. We struggle and fight for control of our destiny. Most often, it seems to be out of control.
Let's bring your destiny under control by learning to exert mental control over those around you. Once that's done, you will find you have time to develop other powers that are hidden deep within you. The technique for developing is a very simple exercise in mental imagery. We will work on that first.
But do you believe? Do you believe that you have extraordinary hidden abilities waiting to be developed? I feel very strongly about that because the most important ingredient needed in developing control is belief. I believe you have the ability. And you have to believe in yourself. It's that simple.
The ability to relax and form mental images are abilities you must possess when studying mind control. After you become relaxed using mental imagery, you will use the mental image of a movie screen for your experiments. I want to present 2 different patters now for you to chose from. Then a method of deepening the relaxation will be presented to take you to the next level.
Rag Doll Patter:
I want you to picture in your mind's eye and old rag doll. You know that rag dolls are limber. They have no bones. Whatever position you sit it in it flops around because there are no muscles or nerves to tense up. There are no bones to hold it straight.
Now I want you to imagine that you are that rag doll. You see yourself completely relaxed and comfortable in every way. You have no muscles or nerves or bones to make you stiff. Your feet and toes are relaxed. Your legs and hips are relaxed. Completely relaxed. See that old rag doll just laying limp.
Your stomach and chest are relaxed. With every breath you take your breathing becomes easier and easier. So very, very easy and so very, very relaxed. Your shoulders and arms are relaxed. Your back and neck are relaxed. Completely relaxed. Feel the relaxation engulfing you. Your face and your head are relaxed completely. You are completely relaxed from the tips of your toes to the top of your head. So very relaxed and comfortable. Becoming more relaxed with every breath you take.
End Rag Doll Patter:
That one is fairly short and works very well with experienced students of relaxation. The following text is for a much longer and more soothing relaxation and is probably the most common method used to relax people.
General Relaxation Patter:
Your entire body is beginning to relax completely. A wonderful, sinking, soft, feeling is entering your body. You feel every muscle and every nerve relaxing more and more with every breath you take. Now think of your feet and make your feet relax. Make the muscles and nerves in your feet relax as you feel this wonderful feeling of relaxation move through your ankles and into the calves of your legs.
Every muscle and nerve in the calves of your legs are relaxed now. Concentrate on relaxing every muscle and nerve in the calves of your legs as you feel this soothing feeling move through your knees and into your thighs and feel your thighs relax completely. So very, very relaxed and very, very comfortable.
Feel every muscle and nerve in your thighs relax. Make them relax. And feel your hips relax. Feel every muscle and nerve in your hips relax completely. Your hips are very relaxed and comfortable.
Now you feel this warm, soft, soothing feeling enter your stomach and feel every muscle and every nerve in your stomach relax completely. Feel all the tenseness and tightness in your stomach leave you. There is no tenseness, there is no tightness in your stomach. All the muscles are relaxed. Completely relaxed. So very, very, relaxed and very comfortable.
Now feel your chest relax. With every breath you take, your breathing becomes easier and easier. Every muscle and every nerve in your chest is relaxed. So very relaxed and comfortable. You have no cares - you have no worries. You are in that wonderful, beautiful, soothing land of relaxation and you hear every word I speak and you go deeper and deeper asleep with every word I speak and every breath you take.
Feel this feeling of relaxation enter your shoulders and feel your shoulders relax. Make every muscle and every nerve in your shoulders relax as you feel this feeling of relaxation enter your arms and feel all the muscles and nerves in your upper arms relax completely.
Your upper arms are relaxed. And you feel this feeling of relaxation move through your elbows into your forearms. Make your forearms relax. Feel this feeling of relaxation move through your wrist and into your hands and fingers and feel your hands and fingers relax completely. So very, very relaxed and very comfortable.
This feeling of relaxation moves slowly through your back and you feel every muscle relax. Complete relaxation engulfs you. So very, very relaxed now and your neck is so very relaxed. Complete relaxation in every muscle and every nerve in your neck.
And feel this feeling of relaxation move into your face. Feel every muscle and every nerve in your cheeks and around your mouth and chin relax completely. Feel your face relax and feel your forehead relax. Feel your eyelids grow very heavy with relaxation. So very, very heavy with relaxation.
Every muscle and every nerve in your face is relaxed now. The lines of tension are leaving your forehead as you relax completely. So very, very relaxed and very comfortable. Even your scalp is relaxed and every muscle and every nerve from the top of your head to the tips of your toes is relaxed. You will continue to go deeper and deeper into relaxation with every breath you take and with every word I speak.
End General Relaxation Patter:
We will now move to the deepening process which will take you to the next level of relaxation. You will create a movie screen in your mind. It is used to visualize what you want to happen in your future. Make it happen on the screen. See it happen on the screen. And know it is going to happen in life. Make the scenes come alive in your mind. What happens depends on the strength you have developed by studying.
This patter is one for people just beginning their quest. As you become more adept at achieving deep relaxation, you will learn to visualize events. But first we just want to awaken the powerful "Psychic Center". There are a number of other pages on this site which will further explain my beliefs. Please look through some of these pages. You might discover a new thought.
Deepening Patter to be used after the relaxation:
Now you will imagine that you are standing at the foot of a beautiful golden stairway. As you look up the softly glowing stairway, you realize the immense power awaiting you at the first landing where you will stop and rest. As I count from 1 to 10 you will walk slowly up the stairway while relaxing deeper and deeper with each step.
1, take the first step up the stairway. 2, with each step you take you slip deeper and deeper into relaxation and feeling the new stirrings of strength opening up deep inside your mind. 3, walking up slowly. 4, moving slowly up towards the powerful light of awareness. 5, going deeper and deeper asleep. 6, another step towards total awareness. 7, feeling to power of the light. 8, almost there now. We will stop at the resting place you see now. 9, one more step. 10, step onto the resting place and into total relaxation.
Sit on the seat provided for you and look at the movie screen that appeared as you reached the resting place. It is softly lit as you first look at it. Now you notice a small point of light at the center of the screen. Focus all of your concentration on the light. Feel the power of concentration growing stronger. Notice the light in the center of the screen growing brighter and brighter.
All of your attention is focused on the light. As it grows brighter you know that it is burning through the barriers of your mind to your psychic centers. The cobwebs are being burned away and you feel an intense awareness fill your being. The light is growing brighter and stronger now.
You feel the strength of your psychic being awakening and growing more intense with the light. The light of awareness and psychic strength. Stronger and brighter. Feel the strength growing within you. Now the light is dimming to a normal brightness. The awareness and psychic strength you have developed will not dim, they will only continue to grow stronger.
Now it is time to walk back down the stairway from the resting place. As I count from 10 to 1 you will walk back down the stairway and be wide awake on the count of 1. You will be able to go to the movie room any time you wish and use the room and movie screen for any purpose you desire. Anytime you reach the movie screen area, your ability to concentrate will increase many times and you will be able to use the screen for your psychic purposes.
Now begin walking down the stairway. 10, beginning to walk down. 9, coming down slowly, staying relaxed. 8, walk down. 7, coming down. 6, you mental strength is growing stronger with every passing moment. 5, coming down slowly. 4, walking down the stairs. 3, you feel renewed life forces flowing through your body. You feel so wonderful that you want to wake up. 2, you want to wake up. You can and you will open your eyes. 1, wide awake now and feeling wonderful.
End Deepening Patter:
Ah yes, that's a great experience. Learn to use the movie screen for your psychic adventures and practice when you can. Psychic awakening is just one use for the movie screen. Another use is for control of events around you. If that sounds a little far out, let me assure you that by our thoughts we strike cords in the cosmic scheme of things. You have used the light to awaken the psychic self, now you can strike some cords to control what happens to you and those around you.
When you feel ready to experiment with the movie screen, one of the most fascinating areas of psychic phenomena to explore is psychometry. It will put your skills at using the movie screen to the limit. To perform the experiment, have someone give you something that has some emotional value to them.
Psychometry is sometimes used by psychics to learn about murders or kidnappings. You have probably read about some of the more famous cases where the information was gained that led to a solution such as with the Boston strangler. One of the country's foremost psychics used psychometry to help locate the strangler. There have been other cases. I'm sure you have read some of these stories and that's what helped whet your interest in developing your own psychic abilities.
Once you are relaxed, go to the movie screen and sit in your chair. Raise the level of concentration to it's peak. Make the screen glow softly. Suggest to yourself that scenes connected with the object will show on the screen as you relax deeper and deeper. Give yourself a time limit of 2 or 3 minutes and then walk back down the stairway to full awakening. Write down any impressions you get and check it out.
