Cmdr Nova'Song is in her quarters, still recovering from the ordeal of
fighting off the alien entity at Athel Loren. She is worried about her lack
of strength during the battle. When she awakes from her healing sleep she
finds a message waiting, telling her that investigators from the
Psi/Tele-Activity Department will be at SB OMEGA to talk to her.



LtCmdr Vymora Einicrox is similarly unhappy with her recent performance and
blames it mostly on the softness in her incurred by her mixed heritage. She
decides to bring out more of the Andorian warrior inside her. LtCmdr
Kallesin n'Galeda is surprised by the change in her appearance and behavior.
In a difficult discussion he tries to find out the reasons for this change
and whether they concern their relationship. He even offers to change his
behavior as well. Vymora suspects he is mocking her and turns down the
offer. She assures him that she loves him the way he is and that the changes
she made will help her perform better on duty.



Later, Vymora debates administrative issues with her department XO. She
appears calm but fumes inwardly. In a holodeck exercise she blows off steam
and two of her department members have to face her wrath for bad-mouthing
n'Galeda.



Cpt James Burke is having a picnic with his family in the arboretum. They
discuss Vymora and Kallesin and their relationship. Kathy gets her husband
to admit that he likes both officers.



Some days later the HORIZON reaches SB OMEGA.



A woman tries to escape prison and pain without knowing who, where or why
she is/was. In an incredible mental struggle she breaks free. The intruder
alert sounds on the HORIZON as Lt<jg> Epona O'Leary re-appears in her
quarters after weeks of mysterious absence.



LtCmdr Kallesin n'Galeda is off-duty in his quarters but responds
immediately to the intruder alert. He arrives as a security detail is about
to enter O'Leary's quarters. Cpt Burke orders them to go inside and Kallesin
is able to confirm with a high degree of certainty that the unconscious
person is indeed Epona O'Leary.
