After a workout and a lost bet LtCmdr Davis Porter is with Gendry Lockhart
in their quarters and fixes sandwiches for both of them. He voices doubts
about his usefulness on the HORIZON, and Gendry soothes him. They find the
time to take a shower before heading to the staff meeting.



Rumors about the marriage proposal are spreading throughout the ship but
LtCmdr Vymora Einicrox is in too good a mood to let it bother her. Her
happiness is easily apparent for everybody. During the staff meeting she is
able to interrupt herself in adoring her husband-to-be long enough to report
that her Security Department and the Science Department are jointly
developing defense mechanisms against attacks from powerful creatures like
the P'ronflrr'ecx entity.

stake.
