Nova'Song, Gendry Lockhart, Kathy Spencer-Burke and Gabriel Goose have made
it through the Jeffries tubes to the Operations center. Nova'Song's
consciousness it both with her team as well as on the tele-plains. As the
team enters the Operations center they find the place horribly transformed
by the P'ronflrr'ecx' evil presence. With Nova'Song's help Kathy Burke
manages to access life support and transfer control over to LtCmdr. Porter's
station. P'ronflrr'ecx at this moment notices their intrusion and threatens
to destroy LtCmdr. Einicrox and her shuttle if she doesn't assist in
destroying Nova'Song.

Back on Athel Loren II Kallesin n'Galeda is busily working on repairing and
rearranging the circuits of the Guardian Machine. He and Vymora Einicrox
have worked out a plan to lure the P'ronflrr'ecx into the statue and
imprison it in there. It will be Kallesin's job to seal the prison once the
entity is inside. He is waiting and ready.

Aboard the MCCOY Vymora Einicrox hears the threat of the P'ronflrr'ecx and
realizes that it cannot be as all an entity as it would have her believe if
it feels threatened by Nova'Song. She decides to use its fear to her
advantage and, pretending to be willing to help the entity against
Nova'Song, asks permission to speak to the people on the HORIZON.
