Lt. Einicrox deactivates Lt<jg> O'Brady's security codes and restricts his
access to non-critical areas only. She asks Lt<jg> 'n Galeda to keep an eye
out for LtCmdr. Nova'Song's safety. 'n Galeda tells her of some unusual
computer activity he registered. O'Brady soon finds out about the
restrictions. He requests a word with Captain Burke. Meanwhile, 'n Galeda
installs several pieces of monitoring equipment near Nova'Song's quarters.

Lt<jg> O'Leary goes to SB Omega for further training with Dr. Samik and
counsellor Alina Doan. They try to help her erect mental barriers at will,
so that she can shut out other people's dreams in her sleep. That night,
someone enters her mind and looks for classified information regarding
Starfleet. She only finds out about this because she is woken by her cat
before the intruder can make a clean exit. Believing she is a security
threat, she returns to the Horizon where she immediately informs Burke,
Nova'Song, Einicrox and Dr. T'Salek. Einicrox intends to keep O'Leary safe
aboard the Horizon and find out who attacker her. Burke proposes some
measures to ensure her safety, including a subdermal transponder to track
her movements. O'Leary is relieved to get such reactions and greatly
appreciates their help. Dr. Samik sends a message to Burke the next day,
saying that the attacker must be a natural telepath.

On the holodeck, Crewman Tschobe gets separated from the others while diving
for the log recorder. He is attacked by a pair of predator fish. In the
other simulation, the entire team is being swallowed by what was solid
ground just moments earlier. They try to escape.

Burke prepares for an informal meeting with O'Brady.
