On the holodeck, PO Ordell leads her team towards the Telmarc outpost.
Energy weapons are useless outside the compound, so they carry various
bladed weapons and chemically powered rifles. One of the team is swallowed
in some kind of quicksand. In another simulation, Lt. Einicrox and her team
have to retrieve the log from a scout ship that crashed into the ocean. They
go out in a raft, locate the log recorder and dive into the water to
retrieve it.

Astrophysicist LtCmdr. Galen briefs Captain Burke on the properties of
double neutron stars in general, and the one the Chupacabra was studying in
particular. He warns about the enormous gravity waves set to occur when the
stars collide.

LtCmdr. Nova'Song has great difficulty dealing with the grief and anger
emanating from the entire crew following the retake of OP721. She senses a
big secret aboard and O'Brady seems to be part of it. She calls Einicrox
from the holodeck to check into it. Einicrox immediately envisions all kinds
of wild conspiracies, mainly including the Telmarc. She interrogates
O'Brady, but he deflects her attention towards the captain. She talks to him
next, but he doesn't want to tell her about the alternate Bordaq yet. He
does tell her that something is going on.

All preparations for the first landing party have finished and
everyone gathers in the transporteroom. Each has his own reasons to
be anxious to get downside.

Meanwhile dr Hemux is back to his usual routine enjoying the fun and
joy of treating his patients. Somehow he wished he could join the
away team but for the moment he settles in his duties on board of the
Yeager.

Meanwhile the away team haz found the first dinosuar with debris
inserted a,d plans to sedate and tag the animal. Ens Tobruk gathers
interesting information about the geology of the planet and already
dreams of an exiting paper he could write about the planets geology
and tectonical activities.

Soon they are confronted with the dinosaur that seems to be dying from
internal injuries and have to decide whether or not to beam it to the
Yeager.

While the away team is dealing with the first encounters downside a
new crewmember, Lt. j.g. Hazel Hardin arrives with D-warp shuttle. Lt
Hardin will take the place of 2O and aFO for the USS Yeager. Lt DeBoer
is passed by for his promotion to FO and feels rather annoyed, not to
say upset about being passed by a female and a JG offcier. Being
upset he beams down to the surface leading an away teams of scientists.
