As the Horizon heads to the last-known coordinates of the USS
Chupacabra, Lt. Einicrox organizes multiple holodeck drills for her
security department. In one of them, PO Ordell leads a team on an
intelligence mission to a Telmarc outpost. In another, Einicrox
herself leads a team on a mission at Scotland's Atlantic coast.

Lt<jg> O'Brady tells Ensign DeSantos he will help her and the real
Bordaq thwart Section 31's plans for the Tal. They discuss how he
might be of help.

Lan'Tzu, Mara Tull and Ann Readdy join in a meeting to discuss the
security measures they should take to ensure the safety of the away -
teams. During this meeting Thull mistakes a remark of Lan'Tzu about
killing dinosaurs being dishonourable and takes that remark personal.
Lan'tzu ensures her it's nothing personal, just a matter to be sure
it was clear to everyone that killing the beasts is no option and
against the Prime Directive.

During that meeting they agree the doctor should try to find a
sedative they could use against the dinosaurs.

Captain Fisher inspects the cargo - bay that is being set up as an
infirmary to extract some parts that have been digested by the
creatures. During the inspection tour he gets injured when hit by a
anti-grav cart that was steered by two engineers not paying attention
to their environment.

Even while not showing the severness of his injury to the rest of the
crew he needs medical attention. Doctor Connor reveals the bone in
his wrist is broken and Commander Fisher should give his wrist a few
days rest but ensures it will heal perfectly.

Doctor Connor shows his unhappiness having to perform as, what he
refers to "a vet" and, speaking in terms commander Fisher uses would
rather treat a thousand broken wrists then extract debris from one
dinosaur"...

After his visit to the cargobay Rudolf finds his way to Security to
check in with Lan'tzu and his crew. There he is informed the shield
barriers would probably consume to much energy to be set up downside
on the planet but the other preparations for the landing-parties go
swift and all seems to be ready soon.

While being there Ensign Tobruk, the new Vulcan scientist for this
mission, informs Lan'Tzu, Mara and Commander Fisher about his findings
about Pangaea II. It reveals that scans show two elements in
abundance on Pangaea II, arsenic and adamite. Arsenic could be
releases a gaseous poison. Luckily, the gas has a garlic smell and is
easy to be recognized.

The adamite is a crystal that has the peculiar capability to cause
phasers to act strangely, more precise, a tendency to redirect the
phasor beam in a non-desired direction if they come in contact with
the mineral.

Hours later the first away-teams lead by Mara Thull and holding
Lan'Tzu, Doctor Connor and Tobruk is ready to be beamed to Pangaea II
for a first survey while the cargo-bayis ready to accept the first
animals.
