Fleet Sitrep for SD 15.0119 Cocoon Fleet News Service www.holoworld-startrek.org ********************************************************* Fleet Commanding Officer ~ Fleet Admiral Erin M. O'Connor ********************************************************* acting Fleet Executive Officer ~ Admiral S'Telk ********************************************************* *************************** Antelope Squadron Commander *************************** (currently vacant) *************************** *************************** USS HAMILTON CO: Captain Judah Gibbons GM: Janet Gist *************************** New CEO Ensign Tyvek not only familiarizes himself with HAMILTON Engineering, but also makes Engineering familiar by installing a custom Emergency Engineering Hologram. The EEH is not only a familiar program to make him feel that extra bit at home, but like an old friend as well who is along for the duration. CNS Logaan Woods tries make exCEO Chandler McCarter more comfortable by reassuring her about her mothering abilities and her husbands eventual return to robust health. No sooner does Logaan mention Yossarian McCarter, than Chandler's commbadge goes off to deliver the news that her husband has reawakened in Sickbay. She is nearly down the hallway when she says she's on her way. After smooching mamma, Yossarian gets to see his son and daughter for the first time and Yossarian Jr., long since named, is joined in their father's arms by Cora Louisa McCarter. Some time later, Logaan receives a message from his ex, Karen, who is taking his sister to specialists on Earth. Along with telling him his sister actually looks a bit better already, Karen tells him she broke off her engagement with Jason because she doesn't actually love her affianced. After listening to the message, Logaan calls CSO Mercedes McCarter for advice, though he tries not to let on that the advice is for himself. She tells him, no, true love doesn't die and, yes, if the two people really love one another, a long distance relationship can work out. His prodding on the topic of love doesn't help him decide right away what he will do about Karen, but it does have the unfortunate sideffect of causing Mercedes to cry herself to sleep. He does finally call Karen back, but this other wounded female heart, having heard the rumors about him and Mercedes and having experienced his rejection when she kissed him, says thank-you-for-calling-I-hope-to-hear-from-you-again and "hangs up" on him. ********* **************************** Beaver Squadron Commander **************************** (currently vacant) **************************** ****************** USS HORIZON CO: LtCmdr James Burke GM: Ruud Visser ****************** CSciO Abi Seldon, astCSciO Melody Cuen and OPS D'Art Storm start the investigation of whatever it is they just detached from the deflector dish. It seems to be alive, but dying. In the brig, Ad'am percieves the being's death screams and he knows the Holy is dying. Shortly later, CO James Burke and CNS Stan the Man arrive to interrogate Ad'am. Meanwhile on SB Saphire, Captain Te'Last of the Me'la'k informs Admiral Tergin a high priest in the E'Pik Order died last night. Many of his followers believe the death resulted from the dying of a Holy. ****************** USS ATHENE CO: UGM: Clark Goble ****************** Lieutenant Sydney Martin, once the CSciO aboard the USS ATHENE contacts Branch Admiral Demetrius Simms regarding an object he is investigating as part of a scientific research team. The object, Martin theorizes, is a powerful explosive which was meant to destroy the Cocoon's portal. Martin requests that Simms launch the USS ATHENE, under the Admiral's command, and escort the object back to its point of origin in unexplored space. Meanwhile, Taran Hote, once the Athene's counselor, completes a two year training sabbatical in an ancient Caitain monastery before returning to Starfleet ******************************** USS HERMES CO: Commander Michael J. The briefing gets underway, with a special welcome back for Thayer and the last one to enter is Mrell. Ens Kathleen Erin Mac Giolla Phadriag (Fitzpatrick in English), originally from the CURIE will be temporarily assigned to the 'Gale. She is dropped off by the Curie at M'Sagro III, where she will be met by the Nightingale ************************************ ************************************* USS YEAGER CO: Commander Rudolf Fischer GM: Currently Vacant SITREP: Paul Raven ************************************* The Yeager gets assigned its CEO. A giant Naat by the name of Draat Makhor who's approach in the dimly lit and scarcely populated corridors of a ship that is still awaiting the last of its crew before becoming fully operative, nearly gives the CNS a heart attack before its deep rumbling voice calls out a welcome of recognition. The FO Shapel continues to try and assert his authority as he would on a Romulan ship. So far without much problem from this Starfllet crew. However Fischer finally arrives aboard throwing the Romulans poise a little with both his unexpected timing and his obviously more 'easy going' approach. **************************************** ********************************************************** Don Ratliff, Fleet GM **********************************************************
