In the dream, the two of them are running away from an armed mob. After taking a wrong turn and finding themselves in a dead end, Logaan uses a Vulcan neck pinch to put Mercedes out, then removes a nearby vent grate so he can slip her limp body into the vent duct. He then replaces the grate and begins looking around for a weapon. He doesn't find one in time, though the enraged crowd does pause while one of its members demands of him where Mercedes got to. When he simply, defiantly replies that she is gone, they begin to cudgel and lash him with a variety of weapons and, though he does manage to kill one of them, a particularly fierce blow breaks his arm and keeps him from doing much even to defend himself. They eventually tire of beating on his unresponsive body and leave in time to miss Mercedes emerging from the vent. She sees Logaan right away and rushes over and begins primative first aid when her commbadge indicates Unable to Contact. With his unswollen eye, Logaan looks at her as she works and tells her he loves her. She protests, saying anyone who loves her gets hurt. He ignores that and asks her to take care of his adopted sister, Sarah. She insists he will be fine as soon as they get to Sickbay, but they both know that won't happen in time. When he dies, she cries over him, then appears to be considering suicide with the knife she always carries when the real Mercedes literally snaps Logaan out of his daze. He assures her he is alright, but she leads him to the Lounge anyway, concerned about his unhealthily pale color. Yossarian McCater sees them come in and makes his way over to ask his twin sister if there is any further news on Nengie, the Merlog demon Mercedes and Logaan are prophesied to save the Merlog from. There aren't any new developements, though CSciO Jur Lehron is still working with Sarah Woods to see how she might be able to help in their apocalyptic struggle. Worried, Yossarian returns to his piano playing duties. Mercedes uses the opening to ask again about the trance he slipped into. Instead of answering her question, Logaan pulls out something he wrote when he was 19(before knowing a thing about Nengie) and passes it to her to read. It talks about an ancient civilization of people who speak without making sounds and move without bodies who are, nevertheless, dying. It also talks about Nengie and the need to defeat him. After she reads the jotted notes, Logaan also says he knows what the chant in her dream means, but says he's going to need to get them drunk before he will be able to tell her. ********* USS SAGAN ********* NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED **************************** Beaver Squadron Commander **************************** (currently vacant) **************************** ****************** USS HORIZON CO: LtCmdr James Burke GM: Ruud Visser ****************** Bordaq tries to extract the meaning of the 'map' from Maggy, but all shesays is "jay knows". With that, she disappears, as does the map. After the spiny alien vessel has scanned the Horizon, all systems except the warp engines mysteriously come back online. Sensors pick up the Meade's shuttle nearby. Keeping a close eye on the alien vessel (whose spines are reforming into warp nacelles, but which remains quiet for the rest), the crew moves within transporter range and beams the shuttle's two occupants to sickbay. There, CMO Threin has just begun surgery on the captain's wife. In the meantime, CEO Kuaar heads up to the bridge to discuss the situation with the captain. ****************** USS ATHENE ****************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED ******************************** USS HERMES CO: Commander Michael J. Halifax GM: Grayham Tyler ******************************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED ************************** Condor Squadron Commander ************************** Branch Admiral Aleksi Kara ************************** ***************** DS101 CO: Captain Alyza GM: Don Ratliff and USS NIGHTINGALE CO: Commander Pol Canon GM: Marc Boon ***************** The CURIE and NIGHTINGALE continue their joint mission. Ensign Stryker, CSciO, has a phobic reaction and shows up in CURIE's Sickbay. Dr Poynton gives him a mild tranquilizer and Stryker sleeps for a while. Goose is still recovering from a period of blindness. LtCmdr Stuart drops a couple of probes to keep an eye on the gas-giant and the origin of the conduit, then moves NIGHTINGALE into orbit around Nescio. Stuart, Thayer, and T'Mal beam over to the CURIE for a joint strategy session. Kersh and Dryden fabricate local clothing to be used by any Away Teams. Goals of the mission's intervention on Nescio to recover the TASMANIA and limit any cultural contamination are worked out. Afterward the CURIE does a quick scan of the planet's weather system and determines the location of the thickest of the atmospheric dust particles. A Class 3 probe is launched to observe TASMANIA's location. Clearly visible is someone in local garb walking with the downed ship's crew. Alex, a Starfleet Intel officer undercover on the CURIE, makes contact with her controllers. She has been unsuccessful in diverting the CURIE and NIGHTINGALE from Nescio. Unfortunately, it appears she has her own agenda and there is not much the distant Intel controllers can do about it. Meanwhile on Mrell runabout, Alyza discusses with Canon her feeling that Mrell might do more harm to their separate mission than anticipated. Canon reassures her that Mrell will indeed be an asset. ************************** USS JOHN GLENN CO: Captain Richard Murphy ************************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED ********************************** ********************************** **********************************************************
