In Sickbay when she reports her blackouts and asks for sleep aids, she runs into Logaan helping CSciO Jur Lehron into Sickbay. Logaan tries to talk to her but she isn't ready to and leaves. Logaan sends a message requiring by Counselling protocol a visit at 1000 hours(after the mission briefing) and tells her he only promised Nengie her brother's child to give them time to plan an attack on the Merlog demon. Jur has an idea about defeating Nengie. Logaan's autistic sister, Sarah, did something while they were telepathically linked that forced Nengie to leave after it broke Jur's arm. Perhaps Logaan's mysterious sibling is their prime weapon? FO Miranda Sands' fiance, Jur Lehron, messages her he is snooping around in the counselling department and she becomes a bit worried. She asks where Jur is as soon as thebridge turbolift doors close. Informed that he is in Sickbay, she is about to contact them when CMO Chip contacts her. He informs her that Jur has a broken arm but is otherwise fine. Miranda sees an angry CSO and a distressed CNS on her way to Sickbay and Chip says those two had an argument about betrayal, lives being at risk, and her brother's child. He also says there are indications of intense recent telepathic activity in Jur's brain. Since Jur is asleep, Miranda has to wait to find out how Jur is involved. Once he wakens, she cooks for them in her quarters and he tells her the Nengie story. Before they watch a movie to help them wind down, Jur leaves a message for Logaan asking him to come to the CSciO's office in the morning. When Logaan contacts Jur --very-- early asking to get whatever it is over with, Jur comes down and begins questioning Logaan in a very logical and scientific manner. Logaan can't tell him much about Sarah or Nengie but tells him all he knows. Still wondering why Nengie wants the baby, Jur contacts Sarah telepathically again right after saying he probably shouldn't to try to get more information. When Yossarian contacts Logaan about that jamming session they promised one another, Logaan goes cold inside. After excusing himself and not telling the child's father he made a deal to give the kid away, Logaan's agonized conscience drives him to drink. The atmosphere in the briefing room starts off a bit frosty with Chip, Logaan, and Mercedes not saying much. Before the meeting begins, though, Mercedes slides a PADD over to Logaan with an acceptance of the appointment at 1000 and lets him know that she just needs a chance to get over the hurt she feels. That loosens things up enough for a productive meeting. ********* USS SAGAN ********* NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED **************************** Beaver Squadron Commander **************************** (currently vacant) **************************** ****************** USS HORIZON CO: LtCmdr James Burke GM: Ruud Visser ****************** CNS Bordaq interrupts his hunt for Chug to inform CO James Burke about the hostage the escaped murdered has taken: Kathy Burke, none other than the captain's own wife. Naturally, Burke's first reactions is to rush out and go after Chug, but Bordaq talks him out of it. Instead, the CNS resumes the hunt himself, teaming up with SOO Arkanis and SOXO Cady. Minutes later, the ship is rocked by an explosion in cargo bay 2. Incidentally or as a result, power gets restored to the upper three decks. A quick couple of star-sightings reveals the next problem: the Horizon isn't where she's supposed to be. ****************** USS ATHENE ****************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED ******************************** USS HERMES CO: Commander Michael J. Halifax GM: Grayham Tyler ******************************** The Hermes away team prepare to investigate the wreckage of the LIEBNIZ departing in a modified shuttlecraft. The crew who are staying aboard the Hermes will assist by going through the collected information they had gathered from the probes. This information included that Geltan III was a beautiful similar to Earth and stunning coastal beaches and seas. Information concerning the people on the planet also showed that they were humanoid, except for one major difference, the people of Geltan III carried a Symbiot, in a pouch similar in a way to a typical Marsupial, and with further research these Symbiots were infact intelligent beings. The Geltanian as seen by the Hermes crew seeming a little concerned, noticed that the people didn't care too much about modesty. After studying the probes, a report was submitted stating that the Geltanian were not an aggressive race but were spiritual, and with any probe report further investigations concerning the Geltan III home world intrigued most of the Hermes crew but they still had a mission to complete and that was to find out what happened to the Federation research vessel SS LIEBNIZ, search for any survivors of the damaged vessel, without violating the Prime Directive. But they also know that they must also hurry, as the Geltanian are proving to be quite a curious bunch of people but with little understanding of what has happened to them, and since the incident many Geltanians have died due to the radiation coming from the crash site. ************************** Condor Squadron Commander ************************** Branch Admiral Aleksi Kara ************************** ***************** DS101 CO: Captain Alyza GM: Don Ratliff and USS NIGHTINGALE CO: Commander Pol Canon GM: Marc Boon ***************** The USS CURIE and USS NIGHTINGALE continue their joint mission to the planet Nescio. A Starfleet ship, USS TASMANIA, has crashed on Nescio causing a 'nuclear winter'. Tasked with investigating the crash and determining if any 'contamination' of Nescio's medieval cultured has occurred, the CURIE and NIGHTINGALE continue their mission. The Rachet, Speeder, becomes infected with the computer virus and goes on a rampage. Before he is stopped he manages to destroy several consoles on the Bridge. Roberts is able to deactivate Speeder. Roberts reports that only someone with access to Xu'sorfian technology would have been able to infect Speeder with the virus. Starfleet Intelligence had access to the LEGACY for several months. The virus is eliminated from CURIE's computer core and quarantined in a separate subsystem for study. Goose and Stryker are rescued from the Jefferies Tube before the oxygen level drops too low. Kersh and Dryden review the video signal sent by the TASMANIA and have a couple of theories about Nescio's society: 1) the society is of a possibly military-religious nature, with a rigid structure, 2) any approach should be done cautiously, 3) respectful treatment would be return in kind. Arriving at Nescio's star system, the NIGHTINGALE begins a flyby of each planet on its way to Nescio. As this system is unknown and with the strange circumstances of their orders, LtCmdr Stuart, FO, orders a detailed scan of each planet. The CURIE holds at the system outer limits for repairs. Commander Kelen, CEO of the NIGHTINGALE, considers the Fleet Admiral's offer of Command of the CURIE and initially decides to 'decline her gracious offer'. ************************** USS JOHN GLENN CO: Captain Richard Murphy ************************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED ********************************* **********************************************************
