After tucking Sarah into bed, Logaan pours over the Sierra-gamma references as well as his dream notes. Among the scraps with scribbles, he finds one with a reference to Nengie, the Merlog lord of the dead who must be defeated by the alien saviors. About the same time, Mercedes is making a personal log entry detailing a dream she had in which her mother guided her to a place reminiscent of a battlefield graveyard. Children weeping over graves with only one parent to comfort them, other people lying in the dirt waiting to die. Suddenly, her mind's eye sweeps away from the pain and suffering to a cave. She steps forward to enter it, but is stopped by one who says the 'other' must come as well. Then, she also is told Nengie must be defeated. After recording the unsettling dream, Mercedes drops by CO Judah Gibbons'quarters to settle her nerves by talking to someone. Logaan can't get to sleep either and, after a visit to the Forward Lounge ends in a bit of a scene, he pulls a chair into his sister's room and sits drinking whiskey and watching her sleep. Between sips he asks the computer where Mercedes is and is disappointed when he is told she is in the captain's quarters. Affianced FO Miranda Sands and CSciO Jur Lehron scooted out of the captain's quarters earlier that day, anxious to avoid a sticky situation. Having relocated to the more innocent setting of the corridor, Miranda thanks Jur for their night in the holodeck and they dash off, each to their own duties. Ex-assistCSO Chandler T'krn McCarter and Yossarian part ways as well, for Chandler has her interview with CEO Patricia Brauckmiller for a final ok on her transfer back to engineering. ********* USS SAGAN ********* NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED **************************** Beaver Squadron Commander **************************** Branch Admiral Cathal Aguiar **************************** ****************** USS HORIZON CO: LtCmdr James Burke GM: Ruud Visser ****************** Ensign Rendash Kuaar, 19 years old and fresh from the Academy, arrives to replace Lt Dariale as CEO. Captain James Burke welcomes him aboard and shows him to engineering. After meeting his staff, he's taken on a tour of the ship by FO Leyson Ayden. Ayden's cold, intimidating attitude disappears a bit after a short talk with Kuaar. Later that day, with all the introductions done, the newbie is impressed with the way the ship - and specifically engineering - is running. After walking Kuaar to engineering, Burke heads to the SpecOps team. Together with SOXO Cady, he proceeds to the holodeck to find SOO Arkanis. The captain has an assignment for him and his team. Unlike most new arrivals, Kuaar actually goes to sickbay for his physical on the first day he's aboard. His timing couldn't have been much better, as CMO Electra Threin is just having some trouble with her equipment. ****************** USS ATHENE ****************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED ******************************** USS HERMES CO: Commander Michael J. Halifax GM: Grayham Tyler ******************************** With the probe being destroyed, and the ship approaching the Geltan Homeworld, the FO called for a ship report from all senior staff, mainly to assure him that the ship was ready for what they were to embark on. The FO decides a small away team or perhaps two will land in the approximate area where there may have been crashes or escape pods. Jynn and N'Borga say they have a way for the shuttle to stay hidden from their scanning technology. While N'Borga get the shuttlepreps underway, he requests his holographic counterpart Stan the Man, a modified EMH mark one to act as Emergency Counseling Hologram, to go over the details with Jynn. But, due to the fact that Stan is "just a hologram" and has no rank and no security clearance, Jynn feels he is not at liberty to discuss security details with him. The matter is placed in the hands of Captain Halifax. After discussing this with his XO he decides to give IT a little lea-way in what operational situations that are going on, on ship but keep IT out of the Prime mission directives. Meanwhile, Ch'Iv is doing some repairwork to the forward sensors Ayanna's friend Becky both hoping that no one would walk in and catch them lying tangled on the floor adjusting electronic circuitry. Of course someone comes in, Ayanna, and surprises them. It is her belief that there is some sort of telepathic connection betweenthe symbiote carried within the pouch and the Geltanian host. ************************** Condor Squadron Commander ************************** Branch Admiral Aleksi Kara ************************** ***************** DS101 CO: Captain Alyza GM: Don Ratliff and USS NIGHTINGALE CO: Commander Pol Canon GM: Marc Boon (SitRep by Don Ratliff) ***************** The USS CURIE and USS NIGHTINGALE continues their joint mission. Ensign Jared Hewitt, asstCSO, and Ensign Goose, CSO, debrief their Security Teams. Ensign James Stryker arrives aboard to assume the duties of Chief Science Officer. Ensign Foley is transferred to another post. The long range scanner, ASSP, is fired up. Even at this extended range, it should provide some very useful data. On the planet Nescio, effects of the 'nuclear winter' are starting to be felt. Starvation and revolution are in the wind. King Nanduc, ruler of the crash-site locale, has received first reports from the crash site... sighting of strangely dressed folks, locals dying of an unknown disease (actually radiation poisoning). On the NIGHTINGALE, it is discovered that many of the orbital satellites slotted to observe the weather of Nescio don't work. Ensign T'Mal manages to repair a few of the defective devices. Cmdr Kelen, CEO, returns from his secret mission... the main Talonid nest destroyed, but a new Talonid Queen already rebuilding. A communique from Fleet Admiral O'Connor offers Kelen command of the USS CURIE. ************************** USS JOHN GLENN CO: Captain Richard Murphy ************************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED ***************************************************************** **********************************************************
