Fleet Sitrep for SD 13.1014 Cocoon Fleet News Service www.holoworld-startrek.org ********************************************************* Fleet Commanding Officer ~ Fleet Admiral Erin M. O'Connor ********************************************************* Fleet Executive Officer ~ Admiral Anna Karsten ********************************************************* *************************** Antelope Squadron Commander *************************** (currently vacant) *************************** *********** USS ARTEMIS *********** NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED *************************** USS HAMILTON CO: Commander Judah Gibbons GM: Janet Gist *************************** HAMILTON's new OPS officer, SFI Lt Tom Anderson, makes a jaunty, unannounced visit to the captain's ready room to report in and promptly finds himself incapacitated. On regaining consciousness, he finds himself in Sickbay being interrogated by a gorgeous, SFI-hating CSO. Mercedes, of course, thoroughly enjoys having one of the loathsome Intelligence toadies under her thumb. CO Judah Gibbons heads for the bridge afterward, but is sidetracked to the cargo bay where FO Miranda Sands and FCO Tom Slater are dissecting the mine they nearly ran smack into. Once Gibbons makes it back to his ready room, he is alarmed, angered, and disgusted to find SFI Anderson back in the chair he had occupied a short time ago. They swap vague and not so vague threats without either coming particularly out on top before apparently agreeing that neither of them particularly likes or trusts the other. Resolving the other explosive encounter, FO Sands and FCO Slater discover a transmitter anomolously installed in the discharged mine. The transmitter's memory shows two messages, the second warning CEO William Johnson received about the mine itself and the COMBINANCE CO's distress call. The plot thickens when both messages (the first of which was transmitted as text) are found to have been recorded with the same voiceprint. The possible explanation CWO3 Johnson offers is that the iteration of the COMBINANCE CO back on OMEGA is the marooned version's future self. This would explain his detailed knowledge of where HAMILTON would be when. After a run-in with Mercedes over the attachment he sensed in her to CO Gibbons, Yossarian feels betrayed as her twin brother that she feels that way about someone who gave him so much grief. His wife, ex-CEO and current assistant CSO Chandler T'krn-McCarter, manages to cheer him up, though, and he takes her to his bachelor quarters for a special surprise he put together for her. ********* USS SAGAN ********* NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED **************************** Beaver Squadron Commander **************************** Branch Admiral Cathal Aguiar **************************** ****************** USS HORIZON CO: Captain Tergin GM: Ruud Visser ****************** As the Horizon is about to return to their own timeline, Cmdr. Canon calls from the Nightingale. He's just heard that in his timeline, the universe is about to be destroyed. Captain Tergin explains the situation, and Canon realizes he can't blame him for returning to his own timeline. After saying farewell, the Horizon enters the wormhole and safely returns to their own time. Back at OP108, it is time for repairs and R&R. Everyone, including FO Leyson Ayden, welcomes some time off with open arms. OPS Blaze Starsinger celebrates his unexpected return with his lover No'urdan before announcing his coming back home to the rest of the crew. Shortly later, an incoming message from SB Omega informs him he has been awarded the Golden Nebula Award for his disabling of the Romulans' computer systems during the recent mission. In the aftermath of the events, FCO Phryn discovers the true identity of junior officer Drell. The latter, knowing he's death anyway because he failed his Romulan superiors, fires his disruptor twice, killing Phryn and himself. Tergin doesn't take the news of the Cheron's death easy. Apparently unrelated to this, the crew discovers a male human who seems to be from an alternate timeline or reality. So far, they haven't been able to communicate with him. Meanwhile, back on Earth, Jarek and Trinity Malaar (former FCO and CNS) are looking forward to their returning to the Horizon. During their extended LOA, their daughter Zadie has been born. ****************** USS ATHENE ****************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED ******************************** USS HERMES CO: Commander Michael J. Halifax GM: Grayham Tyler ******************************** Walking through the corridors of the JUGGERNAUGHT, trying to return to there ship, the crew of the HERMES started to dodge phaser fire, while they couldn't see the attackers, they returned fire. With the only casualty being Jynn, who receive a blast in his shoulder. Minutes later they started to see, who was firing at them, as one of the small creatures surrendered, coming to realize that the Star Fleet Officers were not the enemy. The small creature were in fact slaves, and they were finally free, they then assisted the HERMES crew back to there ship. After being locked up in the Brig of the USS HERMES since the first explosion, Col. McKendrick, meet up with the CO of the USS HERMES Cmdr. Halifax on the bridge, they then inquired about the rest of the crew, only to discover that the SF Intel. Officer, Lt. Qoensal, stole a runabout and headed to the battle contingent, with Blue-Cobalt and Trilitiu. But that wasn't the worst of it, Jynn announced that four ships, that were in fact similar to the JUGGERNAUGHT were coming from the direction of the contingent, which was were Lt.Qoensal was headed. Making sure that the CO doesn't lose any of his crew he sets a course to the contingent. ************************** Condor Squadron Commander ************************** Branch Admiral Aleksi Kara ************************** ***************** DS101 CO: Captain Alyza GM: Don Ratliff ***************** In the Sphere City: Foley, CSci, awakens in the 'Guest Quarters' (read 'cell'). He destroys a monitoring camera. His captors bring Nanoc (whom Foley had earlier saved from rape) and threaten harm to Nanoc if Foley does not behave. Kersh, CNS, also finds himself in similar quarters and ponders how to escape. First Officer Fischer, now possessed by the 'Instrument', gathers all the prisoners. He communicates with Captain Alyza on the HIKARU and makes the demand that Alyza surrender the HIKARU within one hour or the prisoners will be killed. On the THREE RIVERS: Doctor Poynton, CMO DS 101, proposes performing a neural polaric induction to reverse the influence the Instrument is having of Fischer. He gathers the needed equipment and team, then beams over to the Sphere. On the HIKARU Captain Alyza make preparations to either defend the HIKARU or evacuate. Simitaneously she prepares to rescue Fischer and her captured crew. Ensign Goose volunteers to remain with Alyza after the evacuation. ************************** USS JOHN GLENN CO: Captain Richard Murphy ************************** ********************************** USS NIGHTINGALE CO: Lieutenant-Commander Pol Canon GM: Mistie Smith ********************************** ***************************************************************** Cocoon Fleet Situation Intelligence Report (by Cmdr Seth Forster) ***************************************************************** UPDATED SD 13.0615 Na'stiu and Juun relations continue to be tense without progress from assigned diplomatic teams. Activity has been reported in the Holack sector, despite the Veil's blockage of subspace communication. The USS HERMES has been sent to investigate. Reports of Talonid invasion into the Cocoon have been determined to be false. The USS JOHN GLENN has reportedly found debris from the destruction of the USS COCHRANE. Search for survivors continues, but none have been found at this time. ***************************************************** Amgine Sector and Andromeda Report (by Lt. Alac Nond) ***************************************************** OP 108 activity has begun increasing with the completion of the orbital docking platform. Construction has begun on several new ships at the newly contstructed shipyards there. In addition, the Andromeda wormhole has shown no signs of unusual behavior in recent months, causing a return of commerce to the area. Peaceful cooperation with races in the Amgine Sector continue to increase in the aftermath of the Noo'Ach Peace and Trade Conference. Terrorist attacks continue to plague Starfleet ships in the Andromeda Galaxy. Purist terrorist cells, devoted to ridding Andromeda of all Federation presence, have jeopardized the entrance of Trasior into the Federation. Negotiators on Trasior report that the Trasien council is considering withdrawing their application for membership, while various attacks and disappearances are being investigated both by Trasien Security and by Starfleet. ***************************************** Beyond the Portal (by LtCmdr. Eli Meyman) ***************************************** Recent troop movements along Cardassia's border with Breen space has sparked some interest in the Union's possible plans. With relations still cold from the war, no official inquiries have been made, and no investigation is planned. Betazoid Council chairman Beyard Mali and Alpha Centauran Council chairwoman Vhesha P'Nehbuddar have announced plans to begin a massive cultural exchange between their two peoples, including cultural centers on each of the two race's home planets. The cultural centers will be primarily devoted to exploration of similarities between the two cultures and will include expositions on the theoretical genetic links between Alpha Centaurans and Betazoids. Three suspected members of the Orion Syndicate were indicted today at a Federation Council hearing. Although the Orion Syndicate has been careful in the past to remain outside of Federation jurisdiction, the recent acceptance of Vermanda III into the UFP has expanded StarFleet presence into a previously unmoderated area, heavily used by Syndicate trafficking. StarFleet expects no retaliation, but also no more arrests, as the Syndicate has most likely changed their operations routes. **********************************************************
