Fleet Sitrep for SD 13.0619 Cocoon Fleet News Service www.holoworld-startrek.org ********************************************************* Fleet Commanding Officer ~ Fleet Admiral Erin M. O'Connor ********************************************************* Fleet Executive Officer ~ Admiral Anna Karsten ********************************************************* *************************** Antelope Squadron Commander *************************** (currently vacant) *************************** *********** USS ARTEMIS *********** NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED *************************** USS HAMILTON CO: Commander Judah Gibbons GM: Janet Gist *************************** After having discovered Ensign Logaan Woods unconscious on the holodeck floor and carried him to Sickbay with the help of two security personnel, CO Judah Gibbons informs the EMH that the cause of the young counsellor's lapse of consciousness is unknown. Logaan's blood/alcohol level is too low to have rendered him unconscious and he shows no signs of having been struck. The holographic MD does, however, discover traces of a neurotransmitter only produced by the brain during telepathic communication. On discovering these traces, the doctor injects a suppressant of that transmitter then offers to wake the CNS. Gibbons oks reawakening Logaan then, reassured that he will fully recover from his holodeck episode, leaves him in capable holographic hands. Gibbons finds CSO Mercedes McCarter, the next officer he was going to check up on, very hands-on with the task of clearing up the skies of the Querts' home world. Fragments from the taming of the Ralvidan fleet, along with stray nuclear devices, are in danger of falling down the planet's gravity well and HAMILTON's security officer is having a bit of difficulty tracking the pieces, nearest or smallest, which are beyond the long range sensors' focusing capacity. Gibbons makes a few suggestions to help speed up and refine her task, then proceeds to the next item on his checklist, the release of Yossarian McCarter and Carter Gillespie. The two civillians were sentenced to a very stiff fine (paid by CEO Chandler T'krn from her family's enormous savings) and two periods of confinement, one of complete isolation and one work-extra-duty-and-quarters-only. After his official release, Yosarrian makes a beeline for Chandler's quarters, hoping that the computer will give him access because he is her fiance, so he can make preparations for a celebration of the return of his freedom. ********* USS SAGAN ********* NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED **************************** Beaver Squadron Commander **************************** Branch Admiral Cathal Aguiar **************************** ****************** USS HORIZON CO: Captain Tergin GM: Ruud Visser ****************** FO Leyson Ayden opens up a bit to the new CNS, Lt. Darlene Houston, though it still isn't much. Their conversation is interrupted by the discovery of an ion trail with a Starfleet signature, possibly from the USS Hudson. The Horizon and the Mauritania set course to follow the trail. Not long after, they encounter a lifepod from the Hudson. CSO James Mauler takes the necessary security precautions in case the pod contains an unpleasant surprise. All seems peaceful, though, when the pod's occupants, a male Andorian and a male human, are beamed over to sickbay. Given the circumstances, the human, PO3 Lee Tsung, is in good shape. When asked about his crewmembers, he answers with a single word: "Purists". The Andorian, ship's OPS Ensign Fibrilitar ch'Dreek, is in worse shape. A DNA check eliminates the possibility that they are Trasiens, posing as Starfleet officers. In his quarters, FCO Phryn is frustrated about the recent events with the Nameless. He doesn't like the idea of Xuundri being out there again. The Mauritania's FO, LtCmdr. Dek, secretly contacts Thylassa Korian, who has recaptured the Hudson's CO, Captain Diak. Dek, who is working for LTO-16, is surprised to hear the price for the 'merchandise' has risen, because he is no longer the only person who wants Diak. When Sgt. Kelsie McMurphy, Thylassa's aide, informs Diak of Thylassa's plans and helps him to escape immediate death, the Andorian Captain recognizes his last chance for survival. Through a combination of luck and bravery, he manages to escape on the outer hull of McMurphy's shuttle. He disables McMurphy and sets course for the Mauritania and the Horizon. ****************** USS ATHENE CO: Commander Krwn GM: Kathy Ruether ****************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED ******************************** USS HERMES CO: Commander Michael J. Halifax GM: Scott Bassitt ******************************** ************************** Condor Squadron Commander ************************** Branch Admiral Aleksi Kara ************************** ***************** DS101 CO: Captain Alyza GM: Don Ratliff ***************** Ens Poynton treats his first patient as CMO. Goose get violently nauseated at the sight of the Klingon Bregit Lung he ordered for lunch. The Quarantine is lifted and USS NIGHTINGALE docks at the station. LtCmdr Tuvar gets full power restored to the station. First Officer Fischer makes plans for a small party for the Alyza, inviting Commander Canon and Alyza's sister from the NIGHTINGALE. Dr Poynton's second patient turns out to be Capt Alyza's daughter, T'rehn. Poynton diagnoses a Bajoran virus, that unfortunately is capable of cross-species infection. T'rehn is placed in quarantine and treatment began. Further testing confirms that T'rehn has the Flu and she make a rapid recovery. But the Doctor's business is picking up as Lt Hakon comes to Sickbay with the same illness. Poynton makes arrangements to immunize everyone on DS 101 to prevent an epidemic. Ens Goose is given a list of items stolen from various shops during the power outage. It is such an eclectic list that Goose decides to investigate further. ************************** USS JOHN GLENN CO: Captain Richard Murphy GM: Adam West ************************** Even as Murphy begins to make diplomatic progress with the lead TogDrel ship (after it destroys one of the Talonid ships), the remaining TogDrel ship pursues the (supposedly) final Talonid vessel. Unfortunately, one of the Marine's proximity charges damages the Talonid vessel and sends it crashing into the TogDrel flagship. Thinking that the charge was set by the JOHN GLENN, the commander of the surviving TogDrel invades the JG, taking the bridge hostage and claiming that she has 400 soldiers spread throughout the ship. Her claims seem validated as the Sciences department is overtaken, including CSciO Sydney Martin, OPS Kess'rith and CEO Joshua Ryan. Martin, seemingly reverting to his alter ego, the medieval warrior Syd, demands to be taken to the captain and several of the large TogDrel soldiers escort the three towards the Bridge. FO Nathaniel Horne returns from his away mission and reports to the Bridge, finding Echinkal, the TogDrel leader holding a weapon to CO Richard Murphy's head. With Horne's help, Murphy offers to help Echinkal open another wormhole if she will use her ship to hunt down all the Talonid still in the area. ********************************** USS NIGHTINGALE CO: Lieutenant-Commander Pol Canon GM: Mistie Smith ********************************** ***************************************************************** Cocoon Fleet Situation Intelligence Report (by Cmdr Seth Forster) ***************************************************************** UPDATED SD 13.0615 Na'stiu and Juun relations continue to be tense without progress from assigned diplomatic teams. Activity has been reported in the Holack sector, despite the Veil's blockage of subspace communication. The USS HERMES has been sent to investigate. Reports of Talonid invasion into the Cocoon have been determined to be false. The USS JOHN GLENN has reportedly found debris from the destruction of the USS COCHRANE. Search for survivors continues, but none have been found at this time. ***************************************************** Amgine Sector and Andromeda Report (by Lt. Alac Nond) ***************************************************** OP 108 activity has begun increasing with the completion of the orbital docking platform. Construction has begun on several new ships at the newly contstructed shipyards there. In addition, the Andromeda wormhole has shown no signs of unusual behavior in recent months, causing a return of commerce to the area. Peaceful cooperation with races in the Amgine Sector continue to increase in the aftermath of the Noo'Ach Peace and Trade Conference. Terrorist attacks continue to plague Starfleet ships in the Andromeda Galaxy. Purist terrorist cells, devoted to ridding Andromeda of all Federation presence, have jeopardized the entrance of Trasior into the Federation. Negotiators on Trasior report that the Trasien council is considering withdrawing their application for membership, while various attacks and disappearances are being investigated both by Trasien Security and by Starfleet. ***************************************** Beyond the Portal (by LtCmdr. Eli Meyman) ***************************************** Recent troop movements along Cardassia's border with Breen space has sparked some interest in the Union's possible plans. With relations still cold from the war, no official inquiries have been made, and no investigation is planned. Betazoid Council chairman Beyard Mali and Alpha Centauran Council chairwoman Vhesha P'Nehbuddar have announced plans to begin a massive cultural exchange between their two peoples, including cultural centers on each of the two race's home planets. The cultural centers will be primarily devoted to exploration of similarities between the two cultures and will include expositions on the theoretical genetic links between Alpha Centaurans and Betazoids. Three suspected members of the Orion Syndicate were indicted today at a Federation Council hearing. Although the Orion Syndicate has been careful in the past to remain outside of Federation jurisdiction, the recent acceptance of Vermanda III into the UFP has expanded StarFleet presence into a previously unmoderated area, heavily used by Syndicate trafficking. StarFleet expects no retaliation, but also no more arrests, as the Syndicate has most likely changed their operations routes. ************************************************************
