O'Connor ********************************************************* Fleet Executive Officer ~ Admiral Anna Karsten ********************************************************* *************************** Antelope Squadron Commander *************************** (currently vacant) *************************** *********** USS ARTEMIS *********** NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED *************************** USS HAMILTON CO: Commander Judah Gibbons GM: Janet Gist *************************** After having trotted on down to the nursery looking for his sister Sarah, CNS Logaan Woods discovers her sound asleep on the floor in their quarters. After picking her up off the floor and putting her on his bed, he fondly tucks her in then leaves, sure of her safety, for a bit of R & R in the holodeck. There doesn't turn out to be much rest or relaxation in the visit, though, for the mysterious pain from earlier returns with a vengence, and unconsciousness finally descends on him. In a dream-like state, the young ensign finds himself in pitch blackness that is suddenly pierced by a warm spot light that blazes down on him. The light's warmth does not prepare him for the flood of luminescent blue liquid that floods the room, causing him to float toward the ceiling that he then searches for an opening-- an access to breathe through. Just when Logaan begins to despair of ever getting another breath of air, a circular grate is lifted away where the spotlight had come down. The pressurized blue slop shoots him out of the lower room and, after several panting breaths, Logaan hears someone else. His sister, who because of her mental condition cannot speak, is calling him, "Brother. Brother." ********* USS SAGAN ********* NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED **************************** Beaver Squadron Commander **************************** Branch Admiral Cathal Aguiar **************************** ****************** USS HORIZON CO: Captain Tergin GM: Ruud Visser ****************** No'urdan contacts the Meparchkan Embassy about his friend Blaze's condition, but all external comms are jammed before he has received an answer. Several power fluctuations hit the ship's system, resulting in all phasers in the armoury cabinets to overload, thereby blowing out part of the brig. In the arboretum, one of the civilians finds an unfamiliar old woman asking for Dariale. The CEO, accompanied by FO Leyson Ayden and CNS Darlene Houston, goes to meet her but doesn't recognize her. The woman finally tells she is Mzinka, a supposedly fictional witch from Trasien stories. When they try to take the woman into custody, she puts up some kind of energy field around her. Things get more interesting when the being Chasm appears, in the body of OPS Blaze Starsinger, and assaults Mzinka. Additional warriors appear in the forms of Ayden and the three Phryns, all apparently possessed by supernatural beings. It seems they're all set on killing Chasm/Blaze. SOO Arkanis arrives on the scene and tries to sort things out, only to get thrown to the side by Chasm/Blaze. Addressing him as 'youngelder', Mzinka asks Captain Tergin for advice on how to fight their adversary. CMO Bill Patton and FM Trobul stand idly by as the fight between Chasm/Blaze and Arkanis continues, until the Klingon FM can no longer contain himself. However, he is no match for Chasm/Blaze, and is covered completely in blackness within seconds. Tergin consults Dariale about the Trasien legend in which Mzinka (a witch), Galivvan/Ayden (a wizard), Chasm/Blaze (a demon) and Phryn (an immortal traveller) appear. The Trasien CEO theorizes that zeta radiation triggered Phryn's memories, eventually leading to the current situation. Another possibility she sees, is that somehow, the Purists released telepathic beings from the wormhole. These beings have now manifested themselves as Mzinka, Galivvan and Chasm. In the legend, Chasm was defeated by Phryn and the other two, but this time he is much stronger due to a gestalt crystal Blaze got in a dream reality. Their speculations are cut short when a member of Arkanis's team fires an old-fashioned bullet straight through the gestalt crystal. This doesn't weaken Chasm enough for Arkanis to outfight him physically, but is enough for the witch, the wizard and the traveller to release Blaze from his mental captivity. With the help of Mzinka, Blaze overpowers Chasm and sends the demon away. Slowly, everything returns to normal. ****************** USS ATHENE CO: Commander Krwn GM: Kathy Ruether ****************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED ******************************** USS HERMES CO: Commander Michael J. Halifax GM: Scott Bassitt ******************************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED ************************** Condor Squadron Commander ************************** Branch Admiral Aleksi Kara ************************** ***************** DS101 CO: Captain Alyza GM: Don Ratliff ***************** Lt Fischer talks with the Hetgarot Chief of Security, who gives some hints about the subspace tunnel. Apidd and Eronn, the entities now residing in Alyza's and Foley's bodies, leave Sickbay before anyone can stop them. Meanwhile Alyza and Foley find themselves in Apidd's and Eronn's bodies. Aboard the alien ship, inside the subspace tunnel, hijacks the probe DS 101 had sent to investigate. Eronn turns out to be the daughter of the alien Captain, out on a little stroll with her boyfriend. Okupp, another alien, is sent to DS 101 to retrieve the couple. This he does, or so he thinks. When the Security Team arrives in the Arboretum of DS 101, the find the unconscious bodies of Alyza and Foley. After some difficulties aboard the Alien Vessel, Alyza and Foley manage to return to their own bodies...and Apidd and Eronn to theirs. Just as things appear restored to normal, a power failure plunges half th e station into darkness. Captain Demetrius Simms arrives at DS 101 to command the USS CURIE. Ensign Carl Poynton also arrives to take the Chief Medical Officer position. ************************** USS JOHN GLENN CO: Captain Richard Murphy GM: Adam West ************************** FO Nathan Horne and his away team find the SF Marines on Kalith Prime, although Nash or Watanaui are not around. After a few turns of fate, the JG crew escape the gung-ho Marines who try to hold them captive and return to their shuttle to avoid the quickly escalating nuclear war on the planet. Horne snags a Marine comm headset as they're leaving and orders CMO Kelsi Biaret to talk Watanaui into cooperating with them. Back on the ship, the wormhole closes, the JG barely making it out. Although, the resulting eddys cause the planet's moon to deteriorate in orbit and head for the planet. The newly arrived TogDrel ships are very unhappy about the situation, but aren't attacking quite yet, as they are still focused on the Talonid ships. Murphy gives orders to try peaceful contact with the new aliens, stop the moon from destroying the planet, save the Away Team and Marines, rescue any remaining Cochrane survivors and perform other assorted miracles... in the next five minutes, preferably. CSciO Sydney Martin, CEO Josh Ryan and OPS Kess'rith are assigned the moon problem, although Martin and Kess are much more focused on finding Galen Simms, the son of their former CO, Capt Demetrius Simms. Young Ens Simms, however, is in storage deep in the underbelly of a large Talonid ship hiding behind the system's sun. In this reporter's opinion... everyone will die very soon. ********************************** USS NIGHTINGALE CO: Lieutenant-Commander Pol Canon GM: Mistie Smith ********************************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED ***************************************************************** Cocoon Fleet Situation Intelligence Report (by Cmdr Seth Forster) ***************************************************************** UPDATED SD 13.0516 The USS SELEYA, XERXES and ZEUS continue peacekeeping efforts and patrols among Na'stiu cells. The Seleya's most recent contact has agreed to a ceasefire contingent upon other cells agreeing to the same. The Zeus recently escorted a convoy of Ebmanok freighters through the Na'stiu tension zone with no incident. Diplomatic relations with the Juun are still considered to be in 'a tense period.' Talks continue with no advancement. Actions to relegitimize SFIntel continue. The current Fleet Administration has stabilized, allowing for more investigation into past Intel actions. Captain Ardeous Brockman was promoted to Head of SFIntel in the Cocoon following the reassignment of Vice-Admiral Elisabeth Davies. Several deaths due to shuttle accidents have caused great loss in the Cocoon area as well as outside the Cocoon. Although there is currently no explanation for the sudden increase in shuttle accidents, SFEng and SFSec are investigating the problem. Among those lost in the Cocoon area in the last few weeks are LtCmdr Viviane Taliesen of SB OMEGA, OMEGA quartermaster Aleta Fehrahr, HORIZON Special Operative 5 of 13 and Lt Tek, formerly of the USS HERMES. Perhaps the most saddening loss is that of former acting Fleet Administrators Admiral Fuschia Tino and Vice-Admiral Elisabeth Davies, whose shuttle breached as they were being transported to their new assignments at SFHQ. These officers will all be missed. Memorial Services will be announced to Commanding Officers. *************************************** Amgine Sector Report (by Lt. Alac Nond) *************************************** OP108 has completed installation of its orbital docking platform and commercial and Fleet activity continues to grow in the area. The USS HORIZON is en route to investigate the nearby wormhole to the Andromeda Galaxy. The USS HUDSON, which had disappeared while investigating the wormhole is still missing. Peaceful cooperation with races in the Amgine Sector continue to increase in the aftermath of the Noo'Ach Peace and Trade Conference. ***************************************** Beyond the Portal (by LtCmdr. Eli Meyman) ***************************************** The Klingon/Federation Officer Exchange Program has shown some success and plans are in the works to expand the program. The Klingon Empire and the Federation have established a non-aggression pact that many consider the prelude to a new treaty between the two. Still no official comments or noticeable military movement from the Cardassian Union which is beginning to cause concern over what, if anything, they might be planning. Unification talks between Romulan Ambassador Tultia and Vulcan Ambassador Skarov on Bajor have met an impasse and ended without success. Ambassador Skarov made a public statement saying, "The Vulcan people will continue to work for peaceful cooperation with our Romulan cousins. This is but a first step and trust between us has grown." The Ambassador did not comment on any plans for a second meeting. ************************************************************
