O'Connor ********************************************************* Fleet Executive Officer ~ Branch Admiral Anna Karsten ********************************************************* ********************************** Acting Antelope Squadron Commander ********************************** Branch Admiral Anna Karsten ********************************** *********** USS ARTEMIS *********** NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED *************************** USS HAMILTON CO: Commander Judah Gibbons GM: Janet Gist *************************** (Belated from SD. 13.0522:) Just as the Away Team's shuttle was about to lift off from the planet, one crewmember is registered as missing and the takeoff is aborted. When CNS Julianna Ward is recovered, the sight of her bloodied, shredded radiation suit causes OPS/aFCO Zachary Bentley to advise the others that the little vessel is now an ambulance. As soon as they have docked, CMO Jill Landon-Leeds takes Ensign Ward into her custody, making two high-priority patients making the trip back to OMEGA with them. The Leeds clan, Sudak, and Ward then being underway in the D-warp that brought them their new CNS, new CO Judah Gibbons issues Wounded Lion medals to the two injured officers then brings the loose ends of the mission back into all their rememberances. OPS is assigned effort coordination. Security, with Medical in adjunct, is assigned the transfer of personnel from immobilized vessels of the Ralvidan fleet to fighter carrier GUAIAN which Engineering is assigned to strip of weapons and convert into a personnel carrier. Finally, to reduce the danger to the Querts' health and safety, Science is assigned the duty of finding a new site for Quert settlement, outside the range of the radiation contamination from the failed Ralvidan reactors. With things more settled outside the ship, the crew settles back into shipboard life. CSO Mercedes McCarter is informed, almost upon having set foot on HAMILTON's decks, that her brother is in the brig. Her twin had been discovered in the corridors near exFO-newCO Judah Gibbons quarters with a vial of pink hair dye. Undoubtably, the dye would have found its way into the commander's shampoo if the still mischevious half of the McCarter twins hadn't been ambushed by Security. After a lecture, Mercedes lets her brother out of his cell, then proceeds to rush into writing her report to the captain so she will still have time to cook for her date with Zac Bentley. Plenty of edibles are ready when the time comes, though, and her celebration of the anniversary of her decision to join Starfleet comes off without a hitch. Later, another pair has reason for celebration when Yossarian proposes to CEO Chandler T'krn and she accepts. Perhaps married life will be enough to settle the more boisterous of the McCarters. (Ha!) The new CNS, Ensign Logaan Woods, reports in to Gibbons' readyroom with his sister and they are welcomed aboard. The captain makes a point of warning the new counsellor of wavering morale aboard, both because of deaths in the crew and the more recent gutting of the chain of command. The introduction to the CO taken care of, Logaan soon finds himself becoming acquainted with the McCarter twins as well. First, Mercedes comes in, not for a session but to schedule one for her brother and to invite the new counsellor to call on her if he needed any help, then Yossarian for the previously mentioned appointment. True to the McCarter spirit, Yossarian makes Logaan's first session... um, interesting. (From SD. 13.0529:) CNS Ensign Logaan Woods' first session onboard gets off to a promising start, from Yossarian McCarter's point of view at least, when the young counsellor admits that he probably would have stolen a shuttle too if a sweetheart of his had been in trouble. The rambunctious half of the McCarter twins even relaxes enough that they begin talking about their sisters. Then, CEO Chandler T'krn, Yossarian's fiance, drops by looking for him and welcomes the new CNS aboard. Since the engineer has appropriated his patient, the rather casual session comes to an impromptu end. As the espoused are making their way down the corridor, though, Woods realises he made no second appointment and hurriedly asks they arrange a mutually convenient time for a session with both McCarters present. ********* USS SAGAN ********* NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED *************************** Beaver Squadron Commander *************************** Branch Admiral Anna Karsten *************************** ****************** USS HORIZON CO: Captain Tergin GM: Ruud Visser ****************** The Horizon arrives at OP108. Before proceeding into the wormhole to the Andromeda galaxy, the new CNS comes aboard: Lt. Darlene Houston. She is thrilled to be aboard and enjoys every minute of it. CMO Bill Patton reviews the medical records from a recent mission, in an effort to find a way to counter the telepathic abilities from the beings that live inside the wormhole. Back on the ship after a tour on OP108, FO Leyson Ayden is visited by a frightened Ens. Maxon Fedds. Maxon is afraid of going through the wormhole, because the last time he went through one brought some unpleasant surprises. Ayden assures him this wormhole won't do something like that. As the new CNS reports for duty, an energy spike moves from Blaze's console into the OPS officer's nervous system, with no-one but Blaze's friend No'urdan noticing it. The spike has caused a being called Chasm to take over Blaze's mind. After welcoming Darlene Houston aboard Captain Tergin gives the order to enter the wormhole. CEO Dariale suspects the Purists, an extremist group that doesn't want the Trasiens to join the Federation, are behind the disappearance of the Hudson. She also thinks the Purists want the wormhole to be destroyed, and she intends to do everything to prevent that. FCO Phryn falls asleep in his quarters and has an erratic dream. Suddenly, he finds himself waking up in the ship's lounge, apparently having appeared there from nothing. He turns to the bar and sees a reflection of his face. It has turned completely black. FCO Phryn falls asleep in his quarters and has an erratic dream. Suddenly, he finds himself waking up in one of the ship's shuttle bays, apparently having appeared there from nothing. He catches a reflection of his face in a computer console. It has turned completely white. Captain M'treel Diak, held captured on a ship in the Andromeda galaxy, takes his chances when only one guard comes to get him for yet another torture session. He overpowers him and manages to escape in a shuttle, wreaking havoc aboard the ship in the process. ****************** USS ATHENE CO: Commander Krwn GM: Kathy Ruether ****************** Shawn Day helps with the preparations of arriving on Melkot. He goes into the holodeck to see what the procedure of flooding the warp chamber with gaseous chriontrium would be like on the ship since it hasn't been done on a class of since like the ATHENE. The warp chamber vibrates when the gas is released. Ian suggests using forcefields to reinforce the chamber. USS ATHENE finally reaches Melkot. All members of its crew are permitted to go to the planet for shore leave. One of which is an identical recreation of the OK corral and Tombstone Arizona as presented to the original Federation contact group. Twelve Melkots are beamed aboard, but end up engaged in a fight with a Talosian, who takes control of the ship. All twelve and Krwn become unconscious. After the Talosian gains control of weapons and fires at the planet, Day and Sands try to manually get the impulse engines going and soon do. Ian comes up with a computer virus that shuts down all systems onboard including life support. The Talosian is taken care of and the twelve Melkots and Krwn are taken care of by Dr. Morit. Meanwhile on the shuttle, Perry Jones tries to avoid not getting Admiral Evers and himself killed by phaser beams coming from or being bounced off the planet. A "bomb" is found aboard the small shuttle and Jones tries frantically to contact the ship. Finally, contact is made and Evers and Jones are transported onto the Bridge, where Miranda Sands has a difficult time trying to convince Jones that it is the ATHENE he is on and not Hell since he believed the shuttle had blown up when he was transported. After many scans of the shuttle and the shuttle not actually blowing up, security finds out that the "bomb" was actually just an alarm clock that looked like a bomb. Because of this, Jouri decides to play a little joke on the new OPS officer by bringing the "bomb" into the Lounge where Perry is having drinks with a few of his new crew members. Realizing it's all a joke, Perry sheepishly crawls from behind his chair. ******************************** USS HERMES CO: Commander Michael J. Halifax GM: Scott Bassitt ******************************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED ************************** Condor Squadron Commander ************************** Branch Admiral Aleksi Kara ************************** ***************** DS101 CO: Captain Alyza GM: Don Ratliff ***************** Before the Staff meeting, during which Alyza and Foley find themself in a subspace bubble, Alyza and Ambassador Av'ren share a conversation. They speak of Roberts and his new role as Trade Representative for Av'ren's people. Av'ren defends Roberts strongly, insisting that he is the perfect man for the position; since Roberts was being wasted as a 'consultant'. Alyza and Foley are located in a realm of subspace several sublayers distant from DS 101's space/time continuum. Their bodies remain in the current continuum. It was determined that whatever snatched away Alyza and Foley was also responsible for the sudden appearance of the HIKARU. A subspace tunnel is suspected. The tunnel opens just inside DS 101's shields. The Hetgarot is the only know Cocoon race to use a 'tunnel drive' and they are very reluctant to share that technology. A Class II Probe is prepared to explore the subspace tunnel. It discovers a ship of unknown design and origin. The ship is speeding down the tunnel for DS 101. Jel'ar and Rouge enter Jel'ar office at the rear of his store. Rouge informs the trader that because of the inconvience the price has now doubled. Jel'ar refuses to pay the increased price, makes payment of the initial agreed price. Upon learning from Rouge of a new communication blocking prototype that might be in the smuggled crates, Jel'ar quickly gets Rouge out of his shop. Rouge leaves with warnings of a future meeting. Goose comes up with an experimental two-man fighter to enter the tunnel, scan the ship while remaining undetected and return with the information. This would give DS 101 a tactical advantage which might prove crucial. ************************** USS JOHN GLENN CO: Captain Richard Murphy GM: Adam West ************************** CEO Joshua Ryan begins repairing the damage caused during the explosion, and makes it to the Bridge in time to inform the Captain that scans of the planet's moon is emitting multiphasic variances that will cause the ship's core to breach. Though many of the crew want to search the moon for Cochrane survivors, the Captain nixes the idea. Dr. Zelith Waynes finishes his preparations and opens a wormhole that will give the Talonid access to the space above the planet, making it much easier for them to destroy the Cocoon. Unfortunately, he and his staff are killed by the planet's military immediately afterwards. The JG crew tries to stop the wormhole from opening, but to no avail. Likewise, Perry and his Marines look on in horror as the portal opens, but not before they launch nuclear warheads to completely destroy Dr. Waynes' research base, quite likely escalating the civil war on the planet to annihilation levels. Capt Murphy charges Ryan and CSciO Martin to close the wormhole and appro ves Horne's suggestion of an away team to shut down the 'renegade' Marines they believe are causing all the problems. Horne takes Greene, Kess'rith and ace-in-the-hole Dr. Kelsi Biaret in hopes of putting a final end to the madness. ********************************** USS NIGHTINGALE CO: Lieutenant-Commander Pol Canon GM: Mistie Smith ********************************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED ***************************************************************** Cocoon Fleet Situation Intelligence Report (by Cmdr Seth Forster) ***************************************************************** UPDATED SD 13.0516 The USS SELEYA, XERXES and ZEUS continue peacekeeping efforts and patrols among Na'stiu cells. The Seleya's most recent contact has agreed to a ceasefire contingent upon other cells agreeing to the same. The Zeus recently escorted a convoy of Ebmanok freighters through the Na'stiu tension zone with no incident. Diplomatic relations with the Juun are still considered to be in 'a tense period.' Talks continue with no advancement. Actions to relegitimize SFIntel continue. The current Fleet Administration has stabilized, allowing for more investigation into past Intel actions. Captain Ardeous Brockman was promoted to Head of SFIntel in the Cocoon following the reassignment of Vice-Admiral Elisabeth Davies. Several deaths due to shuttle accidents have caused great loss in the Cocoon area as well as outside the Cocoon. Although there is currently no explanation for the sudden increase in shuttle accidents, SFEng and SFSec are investigating the problem. Among those lost in the Cocoon area in the last few weeks are LtCmdr Viviane Taliesen of SB OMEGA, OMEGA quartermaster Aleta Fehrahr, HORIZON Special Operative 5 of 13 and Lt Tek, formerly of the USS HERMES. Perhaps the most saddening loss is that of former acting Fleet Administrators Admiral Fuschia Tino and Vice-Admiral Elisabeth Davies, whose shuttle breached as they were being transported to their new assignments at SFHQ. These officers will all be missed. Memorial Services will be announced to Commanding Officers. *************************************** Amgine Sector Report (by Lt. Alac Nond) *************************************** OP108 has completed installation of its orbital docking platform and commercial and Fleet activity continues to grow in the area. The USS HORIZON is en route to investigate the nearby wormhole to the Andromeda Galaxy. The USS HUDSON, which had disappeared while investigating the wormhole is still missing. Peaceful cooperation with races in the Amgine Sector continue to increase in the aftermath of the Noo'Ach Peace and Trade Conference. ***************************************** Beyond the Portal (by LtCmdr. Eli Meyman) ***************************************** The Klingon/Federation Officer Exchange Program has shown some success and plans are in the works to expand the program. The Klingon Empire and the Federation have established a non-aggression pact that many consider the prelude to a new treaty between the two. Still no official comments or noticeable military movement from the Cardassian Union which is beginning to cause concern over what, if anything, they might be planning. Unification talks between Romulan Ambassador Tultia and Vulcan Ambassador Skarov on Bajor have met an impasse and ended without success. Ambassador Skarov made a public statement saying, "The Vulcan people will continue to work for peaceful cooperation with our Romulan cousins. This is but a first step and trust between us has grown." The Ambassador did not comment on any plans for a second meeting. ************************************************************
