Fleet Sitrep for SD 13.0515 Cocoon Fleet News Service www.holoworld-startrek.org ********************************************************* Fleet Commanding Officer ~ Fleet Admiral Erin M. O'Connor ********************************************************* Fleet Executive Officer ~ Currently vacant ********************************************************* ********************************** Acting Antelope Squadron Commander ********************************** Branch Admiral Anna Karsten ********************************** *********** USS ARTEMIS *********** NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED *************************** USS HAMILTON CO: Commander Judah Gibbons GM: Janet Gist *************************** In the aftermath of HAMILTON's single-handed whooping of the Ralvidan fleet, 2 missiles and one fighter are unaccounted for. HAMILTON shuttle DOLCHPUNKT starts looking for the last fighter while the HAMILTON itself scans the debris and immobilized vessels for the final missiles. Just as the lost fighter is located a short, rapidly shrinking distance from the planet and DOLCHPUNKT gives chase, HAMILTON finds the two lost missiles the hard way. The sudden explosion of the antiquated weapons almost under their noses does only minor damage to the ship, but part of the destroyed Science console embeds itself in CSciO Sudak's chest and the senior science officer is hastily removed to Sickbay. In the last few seconds of the fighter's headlong dive, the D-warp that had ducked behind the planet slipped back around and sliced the little alien vessel in two. Even hacked up, the fighter remains dangerous for the drive section is still headed toward the Away Team's general location. On impact, the fighter remnant explodes and rocks the Away Team's shuttle, giving them a last jolt of excitement before they return to the HAMILTON. ********* USS SAGAN ********* NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED *************************** Beaver Squadron Commander *************************** Branch Admiral Anna Karsten *************************** ****************** USS HORIZON CO: Captain Tergin GM: Ruud Visser ****************** Special Ops officer Arkanis has a hard time coming to terms with Peanut's dead and Rico's top-secret reassignment. A talk with his girlfriend Triana helps somewhat in accepting it wasn't his fault. The next morning, Captain Tergin briefs his crew on the new mission. The Horizon is to continue the mission the Cochrane was recalled from early. Over a month ago, the USS Hudson was destroyed while investigating the Andromeda Galaxy. The Horizon is to determine the cause of destruction of the Hudson and to ascertain if there is a threat to the Federation from the Andromeda Galaxy. Based on the Horizon's report, Starfleet will decide if the wormhole to Andromeda should be destroyed. The new FCO, 50,000 years old LtCmdr. Phryn, meets with the senior staff. His first impression of the ship and its crew is a good one. FO Leyson Ayden is glad to finally have someone he can talk to: Ens. Fedds Maxon, a junior officer who served aboard the Enterprise-J as well, and only recently arrived in Federation space. Later, on the bridge, Ayden and Tergin discuss the Hudson's captain's personality. Tergin is convinced the ship was taken completely by surprise. Meanwhile, Captain M'treel Diak, the Hudson's Andorian CO, is being tortured by his captors. ****************** USS ATHENE CO: Commander Krwn GM: Kathy Ruether ****************** Shawn Day and Ian Hollander start to make preparations for the Athene's entrance into Melkot space. All requirements serve to disable or neutralize all offensive potential. Krwn denies Jouri Hollander's request for being relieved of duty. Instead, he suggests that the aCSO meet with him in the Lounge later on to talk. Before he does, he and his twin, Ian talk about how Jouri feels about shooting the holographic Ian. Most of the crew excluding Shawn Day end up in the Lounge for jokes and drinks, which Krwn invites Ian and Jouri to do. One including a genie, numbers, and a commanding officer nicknamed "Such." Meanwhile, Perrin Jones arrives at Starbase 11 with no Athene to go home to. He goes to the CO's office where Admiral Evers is talking. The Admiral says that the ensign can come along with him and fly the shuttle while they are going after the Athene. Of course, the Admiral must have to have some doubts after hearing that Perry wasn't allowed to touch weapons unless his old ship was in desperate need of help. Two more shuttles are to join them in their pursuit of the runaway Athene when they are finally repaired. ******************************** USS HERMES CO: Commander Michael J. Halifax GM: (currently vacant) ******************************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED ************************** Condor Squadron Commander ************************** Branch Admiral Aleksi Kara ************************** ***************** DS101 CO: Captain Alyza GM: Don Ratliff ***************** Lt Dryden Hakon find the missing child, hiding in a crate. He turns her over the Security. Jack Kersh and Caesar Julliard (in the guise of Sigmund Freud) have a little intra-departmental counseling session. Meanwhile, on the HIKARU, Lt. Rommel, Ensign Foley, and Ensign Goose arrive at the site of the distress call. That ship's transponder code does not match anything in the data banks. Rommel recognizes the ship's configuration as Plisho. After a period of time the Plisho ship answers HIKARU's hail. Roberts runs into an old acquaintance, a Dergradian named Zoff, in the Gorn shop on DS 101's Mall Level. Zoff was posing as a Dergradian merchant, but Roberts knew that Zoff was actually a member of the Dergrad military. After inquiring about Roberts' status as Caitian trade rep, Zoff drops some not-too subtle hints that he is aware of Roberts' 'crimes' and express disbelieve that the Federation would let Roberts continue to run loose without punishment. ************************** USS JOHN GLENN CO: Captain Richard Murphy GM: Adam West ************************** Nash and Perry set up proximity charges to keep the JOHN GLENN away from the planet and Talonid wreckage as the Kalith military seeks to shut down all scientific research to conserve resources. In defiance of the shutdown, scientist Zelith Wayne rushes ahead with the procedure to open a stable portal, not knowing the Talonid threat it will bring. Kuvak and Horne fight off Talonid hatchlings and beam back over to the JG. Martin and Greene accomplish the same, but experience a manifestation of Martin's alter-ego (the medieval warrior Syd) and find a hatchling-infested woman who is still alive and may be saved. After getting her back to the ship and returning to his old self, Martin concocts a plan for himself and the Dr. Biaret to take the woman away from the ship in a runabout, so that they may try to save her and study the Talonid hatchlings in her body. Reluctantly Capt Murphy agrees. ********************************** USS NIGHTINGALE CO: Lieutenant-Commander Pol Canon GM: Mistie Smith ********************************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED ********************************************************************* Cocoon Fleet Situation Intelligence Report (by Adm. Elisabeth Davies) ********************************************************************* UPDATED SD 13.0313 The Federation/Na'Chem Ceasefire is still in effect. The USS SELEYA's peace talks have reached an impasse, although efforts continue. The USS ZEUS and USS XERXES continue patrols and have managed to disable one hostile cell's activities. The SELEYA is currently attempting contact with another influential Na'Stiu cell. Diplomatic relations with the Juun are still considered to be in 'a tense period.' Talks have resulted in an effort to disclose many possible sentient rights transgressions by past Juun governments, although very little has been turned up to date. Actions to relegitimize SFIntel continue. Administration needs which have stalled much of the progress are being handled, allowing for a resurgence in these efforts. *************************************** Amgine Sector Report (by Lt. Alac Nond) *************************************** OP108 has completed installation of its orbital docking platform and commercial and Fleet activity continues to grow in the area. The USS HORIZON has been assigned to continue the COCHRANE's aborted mission and investigate disappearances near the wormhole. As a direct result of the Noo'Ach Peace and Trade Conference, the Aldemiian race has been accepted as a probationary protectorate of the Federation, establishing an embassy on Earth. Two other races from that conference are still being considered for Federation membership. On a related note, the Federation might possibly become an intergalactic organization soon, as the Trasien race from the Andromeda galaxy has applied for Federation membership. Negotiations for evaluation will proceed soon. ***************************************** Beyond the Portal (by LtCmdr. Eli Meyman) ***************************************** The Klingon/Federation Officer Exchange Program has shown some success and plans are in the works to expand the program. The Klingon Empire and the Federation have established a non-aggression pact that many consider the prelude to a new treaty between the two. Still no official comments from the Cardassian Union. Recent investigations into Tholian border activity have confirmed that there is no military objective. Fourteen new colonies have been established within two sector's distance from the neutral zone, and military presence on these colonies is considered very light. An official assurance of peaceful intentions has been received from the Tholians. Romulan Ambassador Tultia and Vulcan Ambassador Skarov continue talks of Unification. Talks are expected to last several more weeks, despite projections of failure. ********************************************************
