Fleet Sitrep for SD. 13.0501 Cocoon Fleet News Service www.holoworld-startrek.org ********************************************************* Fleet Commanding Officer ~ Fleet Admiral Erin M. O'Connor ********************************************************* Fleet Executive Officer ~ Currently vacant ********************************************************* *************************** Antelope Squadron Commander *************************** (currently vacant) *************************** *********** USS ARTEMIS *********** NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED *************************** USS HAMILTON CO: Commander Judah Gibbons GM: Janet Gist *************************** A fashion disaster is averted shipboard as two of CSO Mercedes McCarter's officers catch her brother before he can add pink hair dye to FO Judah Gibbons' shampoo. Yossarian McCarter's 'sleepwalking' landed him in the brig instead of allowing him to wreak havoc on Gibbon's coifure. At this point, Captain Antonio Leeds inexplicably puts OPS/aFCO Zac Bentley in charge informing Zac that he will be piloting CMO, the two injured scientists she recovered, the CNS, and the counsellor's security detail up to HAMILTON in one of their two shuttles. While Zac is passing on the word to those still dirtside, he discovers something equally befuddling. CEO Chandler T'krn and her team are no longer responding to their suit comms. While he and Mercedes are on their way to investigate, a Quert vessel suddenly launches ahead. The engineers' kidnappers, who only want them to close the trans-warp conduit so the Ralvidans can no longer plague them, chose the wrong ship, though, for it is missing the engine cooling system and, when they overheat, it begins to drop earthward at an alarming rate. Zac maneuvers the remaining SF shuttle to physically 'catch' the Quert vessel and they both land very roughly. As it has been said before though, a successful landing is one that everyone walks away from and, with bruises and some bloody scratches, everyone does. ********* USS SAGAN ********* NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED *************************** Beaver Squadron Commander *************************** Branch Admiral Anna Karsten *************************** ****************** USS HORIZON CO: Captain Tergin GM: Ruud Visser ****************** CSO James Mauler experiences the same dream reality OPS Blaze Starsinger was previously in. He recovers in sickbay. Following tradition, the Horizon crew goes to the Mystery Bar at Omega, bringing their friends from Dakota along. Also present is Nathan Cady, former OPS of the Horizon and now about to go on advanced tactical training. A happy reunion takes place between Cady and the Horizon officers. CMO Bill Patton meets the Dakota's attractive CO, Cmdr. Sheila Marevic. They have a wonderful night together, like Bill hasn't had in far too long. Still lacking in social skills, CSciO Melody Cuen isn't really enjoying herself in the Bar. Blaze, on the other hand, is enjoying the Bar and the company to the limit. Back on the ship, the CSO finds out a transport dampening field has been laid over the location of the Bar. He replicates some Viridian patches to cut through the field, and joins the crew in the Bar to make sure they can be transported out in case of a raid. Meanwhile, the Dakota's CEO has found a way to temporarily disable the dampening field. Melody is getting tired of all the drunk and half to completely naked people around her, and leaves the Bar. She spends the rest of the night with the Dakota's FO, ending with a kiss in the transporter room. Back on the ship, she wonders if he loved her because of herself, or because of her programming. Captain Tergin and his lover, Meparchkan ambassador Or'Nonya Matala, share a quiet meal in an Andorian restaurant on Omega. Or has just heard he needs to stay on Omega for a couple of months to work on trade agreements with the Feronians and the Hetgarot. Tergin has received orders to leave the next day, and they decide to make the best of their last night together. Using the worm program he had prepared earlier, the Dakota's CEO manages to transport all party goers from the Mystery Bar to where they came from. As an extra joke, most of the onstorming security teams are transported to the holding cells intended for the Bar's visitors. Ex-FCO Jarek Malaar and his wife, ex-CNS Trinity Layne-Malaar, depart from the Horizon to head for Earth, where they will allow their as yet unborn child to grow up in the absence of the dangers coming with life on a starship. 50,000 years old LtCmdr Phryn arrives aboard the Horizon to take his new assignment as FCO. ****************** USS ATHENE CO: Commander Krwn GM: Kathy Ruether ****************** While still being confined by the Talosians and after a talk between him and Miranda about why they love each other, Jur comes up with the idea to show them inkblots to distract them. The image of Rrrgth's comes to help the two out of their confinement as well as the others of the away team. After reaching the surface, the Athene is contacted and all are transported back to the ship. Now on board, the illusion of Ian is discovered. Even after trying to shut down power in Engineering to get rid of him, the real Ian disappears from the group. Jouri proceeds to the holodeck were apparently both the illusion-Ian and the real Ian have been transported. After a short questioning to determine which is the real one, Jouri shoots who he believes is the false one, but it is found out that it was really his brother he shot dead. Krwn decides against pressing charges against the aCSO for the death of his brother. Jouri, now mourning the death of his twin, goes to his quarters and hears someone or something knocking against the bathroom door. It's Ian. The real Ian that is. The whole thing had been a test by the Talosians. After talking to Rrrgth, Krwn decides against trying to save the humans. He gives the orders to destroy the crashed shuttle on the planet and makes sure that a probe will be sent in three days. Tyler takes the Athene out of orbit and into warp heading for Starbase 11. The Athene has little over 8 hours until the self-destruct goes off. Hopefully, they will make it in time. ******************************** USS HERMES CO: Commander Michael J. Halifax GM: (currently vacant) ******************************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED ************************** Condor Squadron Commander ************************** Branch Admiral Aleksi Kara ************************** ***************** DS101 CO: Captain Alyza GM: Don Ratliff ***************** Fischer, Dryden, Kersh, and Av'ern spend time sharing drinks and conversation at Club 101. Marta and Caesar's handcuff therapy is finally ended with positive results. In fact, Marta likes the therapy so much, she initiates her own short handcuff session with Dryden. Jel'ar arrives back at his shop. Fischer begins to investigate the missing girl and the apparently smuggled archeological artifacts. After getting the forensic side of the investigation started, Fischer interviews Jel'ar. Roberts has his neuroprogram deactivated by the Rachet, Speeder. Roberts is determined to find meaningful work on DS 101 or else he will do no work at all. He is tired and frustrated doing the "make-work" he has been assigned. Ambassador Av'ern spends a few minutes in talk with Roberts at Club 101 and asks for Roberts' help in arranging the trading details for Cait. With the Command Grade Training done, Alyza attempts to spend some time with her family. However, duties continue to interrupt. ************************** USS JOHN GLENN CO: Captain Richard Murphy aGM: Clark Goble ************************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED ********************************** USS NIGHTINGALE CO: Lieutenant-Commander Pol Canon GM: Mistie Smith ********************************** Lt Cmdr Pol Canons trial is proceeding very slowly, as his counsel Ambassador Grayson finally finsihes his opening statement. Pol adds his own part saying that, whether or not his killed, is not the case, but why. On the Bridge, Lt Danial Stuart sends a message to allert Lt Cmdr Nathial of the increase in internal commincations on the Romulan vessel. He also recieves a comincae from Starfleet operations, informing him, that he will begin command training at the conclusion of Pol's trial. On the Romulan vessel, McCuen and Ma'kauran notice that the Romualans suspect McCuen is onboard and send a young Romulan (who is on the Nightigale) to check whether he is still there, he see's McCuen and Ma'kauran in sickbay and is satisfied. When he is gone, the EMH, who had been doubling as him, changes back. The real McCuen and Ma'kauran talk, keeping up their cover, but when Ma'kauran leaves, Selnan catches McCuen out. In the trial, Kelen tries to call Pol to the stand to testify, which results in Ambassador Grayson going on for 40 minutes as why he shouldn't. By the end, most are rather tired and annoyed. Later a security officer is caught by Nathial talking about the trial and the fought that broke out during it. She asks the computer for where he is, only to be told, he is not onboard... On the Romualn Vessel, Kelen and Vask relax and talk about the case. Kelen asures Vask, that he knows what he is doing. Outisde the lounge, Kelen hears a commotion, but is TOLD it probably has nothing to do with them. The case is called back to order. Pol tells the caught, despite his cousels objections, he will testify, on his own free will. ********************************************************************* Cocoon Fleet Situation Intelligence Report (by Adm. Elisabeth Davies) ********************************************************************* UPDATED SD 13.0313 The Federation/Na'Chem Ceasefire is still in effect. The USS SELEYA's peace talks have reached an impasse, although efforts continue. The USS ZEUS and USS XERXES continue patrols and have managed to disable one hostile cell's activities. The SELEYA is currently attempting contact with another influential Na'Stiu cell. Diplomatic relations with the Juun are still considered to be in 'a tense period.' Talks have resulted in an effort to disclose many possible sentient rights transgressions by past Juun governments, although very little has been turned up to date. Actions to relegitimize SFIntel continue. Administration needs which have stalled much of the progress are being handled, allowing for a resurgence in these efforts. *************************************** Amgine Sector Report (by Lt. Alac Nond) *************************************** OP108 has completed installation of its orbital docking platform and commercial and Fleet activity continues to grow in the area. The USS HORIZON has been assigned to continue the COCHRANE's aborted mission and investigate disappearances near the wormhole. As a direct result of the Noo'Ach Peace and Trade Conference, the Aldemiian race has been accepted as a probationary protectorate of the Federation, establishing an embassy on Earth. Two other races from that conference are still being considered for Federation membership. On a related note, the Federation might possibly become an intergalactic organization soon, as the Trasien race from the Andromeda galaxy has applied for Federation membership. Negotiations for evaluation will proceed soon. ***************************************** Beyond the Portal (by LtCmdr. Eli Meyman) ***************************************** The Klingon/Federation Officer Exchange Program has shown some success and plans are in the works to expand the program. The Klingon Empire and the Federation have established a non-aggression pact that many consider the prelude to a new treaty between the two. Still no official comments from the Cardassian Union. Recent investigations into Tholian border activity have confirmed that there is no military objective. Fourteen new colonies have been established within two sector's distance from the neutral zone, and military presence on these colonies is considered very light. An official assurance of peaceful intentions has been received from the Tholians. Romulan Ambassador Tultia and Vulcan Ambassador Skarov continue talks of Unification. Talks are expected to last several more weeks, despite projections of failure. ********************************************************
