Fleet Sitrep for SD 13.0417 Cocoon Fleet News Service www.holoworld-startrek.org ********************************************************* Fleet Commanding Officer ~ Fleet Admiral Erin M. O'Connor ********************************************************* Fleet Executive Officer ~ Currently vacant ********************************************************* *************************** Antelope Squadron Commander *************************** (currently vacant) *************************** *********** USS ARTEMIS *********** NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED *************************** USS HAMILTON CO: Commander Judah Gibbons GM: Janet Gist *************************** The Away Team continues their mission planetside, keeping in mind that they only have so long before the radiation forces them to return to the HAMILTON. Plans for the protection of the Querts once the SF crew have left are coming along nicely with the help of HAMILTON CSO Mercedes McCarter. The inspection of the Querts' ships is leaving a lasting impression on the security officer and engineering team that were sent to examine the vessels. When they duck into the shuttle-sized ship nearest them, the Bolian security officer, known as 'Mak,' feels a shiver of apprehension after the hatch thumps loudly into place behind them. She soothes herself, though, by recalling that they are assisting these people, providing them the means to survive their planet's catastrophe, so they are highly unlikely to behave in an unfriendly manner. Meanwhile, back on the ship, the vacuum left by rendering the Empiricals harmless may shortly be filled as Yossarian McCarter, having just sung the 'bottles of Tequilla on the wall' more times than a completely sane person ever would, plots a minor sort of revenge against FO Judah Gibbons. He's going to add a pink hair dye to the Commander's shampoo! Well, if Security doesn't catch him first. ********* USS SAGAN ********* NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED *************************** Beaver Squadron Commander *************************** Branch Admiral Anna Karsten *************************** ****************** USS HORIZON CO: Captain Tergin GM: Ruud Visser ****************** OPS Blaze Starsinger experiences something he can only describe as 'reality blinking out for a moment'. Minutes later, Mandella experiences the same thing. Arkanis and his SpecOps team, plus a regular security team, hunt down Mandella in engineering. The impostor manages to get three officers unconscious - one of them being Melody - before being captured by Arkanis. She is taken to the brig. Melody recovers swiftly in sickbay, thanks to the CMO's good care. During the staff meeting an hour later, CMO Bill Patton, CEO Dariale, CSciO Melody Cuen and CSO James Mauler are promoted to Lieutenant JG. astCNS Jay McMadeth is awarded the Troi Plaque and promoted to head CNS, because Trinity will be leaving. Ex-FO Dhalit P'Nehbuddar is awarded the Star of Hope. While announcing his talent show plans for Peanut's funeral, Blaze shifts away into a dream-reality, where he find himself in the sickbay of the Starfleet ship Apogee. To his surprise, Mandella is there as well. Blaze's arrival has brought a war to the Dream Federation, and the immensely large and powerful Apogee is to stop their opponents, the Dreij. With the help of a crystal, Blaze uses his cyberpathic abilities to disable the Dreij ships. Upon his return to the Horizon, he recognizes the crystal on the sheet beside his bed. After the meeting, relief conn officer Kali confronts FO Leyson Ayden about his lack of any social skills. She challenges him to try and make some friends, rather than keeping up his act of hostility towards everyone. The people present at the auditions for the talent show are pleasantly surprised when the Vulcan Dr. T'Salek gives a great performance of Billie Holiday's "In My Solitude". One of the other good performances comes from an Ensign Dag Nabbit, a member of the Reptin race. Bill recites a text about going on in life, despite what happens to you. ****************** USS ATHENE CO: Commander Krwn GM: Kathy Ruether ****************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED (no posts written this week) ******************************** USS HERMES CO: Commander Michael J. Halifax GM: (currently vacant) ******************************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED ************************** Condor Squadron Commander ************************** Branch Admiral Aleksi Kara ************************** ***************** DS101 CO: Captain Alyza GM: Don Ratliff ***************** The Chief Engineer, Lt. Steve O'brady has a counseling session with CNS Jack Kersh about the nightmares. Talk turns to O'brady's son. Jel'ar arrives in the main shuttle bay with the goods (including weapons) that he is trying to smuggle aboard. Thanks to an unexpected abundance of chickens running loose in the shuttle bay, he was able to move the cargo off the shuttle. During the unloading, Jel'ar discovered one crate that he did not remember loading. Lt Fischer's Command Grade Training exercise continued. ************************** USS JOHN GLENN CO: Captain Richard Murphy aGM: Clark Goble ************************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED ********************************** USS NIGHTINGALE CO: Lieutenant-Commander Pol Canon GM: Mistie Smith ********************************** All departments of the Nightingale finish preparations for the arrival of the Romulans, for Lt Cmdr Pol Cannons upcoming extradition hearing. Taking extra precautions, making sure that 'nothing' goes wrong. Pol, still deeply upset by the death of Abigail, seeks council 'of sorts' from Kari. It seems to work as he is somewhat comforted, *Even though she never actually said anything*. Kelen's and Nathial's personally relationship has expanded, neither letting simple things like 'duty' and breifings, get in the way;-) The *micro-chip* found in the science station is looked at by Lt Daniel Stuart and Simone. Curious points were found, linking oddly with Romulans, though most of it still remains a mystery. Six Romulans board the Nightingale to begin the hearing. The Romulan Captain - Enarrain Narel is known by Nathial through a previous "though not nice' encounter. Another Romulan- Commander Vask - is known by Kelen. Pol, and Nathial and others prepare for the hearing, leaving Daniel in charge on the bridge, *Hoping he does better than his first go*. ********************************************************************* Cocoon Fleet Situation Intelligence Report (by Adm. Elisabeth Davies) ********************************************************************* UPDATED SD 13.0313 The Federation/Na'Chem Ceasefire is still in effect. The USS SELEYA's peace talks have reached an impasse, although efforts continue. The USS ZEUS and USS XERXES continue patrols and have managed to disable one hostile cell's activities. The SELEYA is currently attempting contact with another influential Na'Stiu cell. Diplomatic relations with the Juun are still considered to be in 'a tense period.' Talks have resulted in an effort to disclose many possible sentient rights transgressions by past Juun governments, although very little has been turned up to date. Actions to relegitimize SFIntel continue. Administration needs which have stalled much of the progress are being handled, allowing for a resurgence in these efforts. *************************************** Amgine Sector Report (by Lt. Alac Nond) *************************************** OP108 has completed installation of its orbital docking platform and commercial and Fleet activity continues to grow in the area. The USS HORIZON has been assigned to continue the COCHRANE's aborted mission and investigate disappearances near the wormhole. As a direct result of the Noo'Ach Peace and Trade Conference, the Aldemiian race has been accepted as a probationary protectorate of the Federation, establishing an embassy on Earth. Two other races from that conference are still being considered for Federation membership. On a related note, the Federation might possibly become an intergalactic organization soon, as the Trasien race from the Andromeda galaxy has applied for Federation membership. Negotiations for evaluation will proceed soon. ***************************************** Beyond the Portal (by LtCmdr. Eli Meyman) ***************************************** The Klingon/Federation Officer Exchange Program has shown some success and plans are in the works to expand the program. The Klingon Empire and the Federation have established a non-aggression pact that many consider the prelude to a new treaty between the two. Still no official comments from the Cardassian Union. Recent investigations into Tholian border activity have confirmed that there is no military objective. Fourteen new colonies have been established within two sector's distance from the neutral zone, and military presence on these colonies is considered very light. An official assurance of peaceful intentions has been received from the Tholians. Romulan Ambassador Tultia and Vulcan Ambassador Skarov continue talks of Unification. Talks are expected to last several more weeks, despite projections of failure. *******************************************************
