Jo accepts and the shuttle bringing her replacement gives her a ride to her new posting. The new CNS eventually finds her way to the bridge but becomes flustered when she instinctively addresses the female commander as "Sir" before having found out her preference. CMO Jill Landon-Leeds, the commander so addressed, reassures the ensign that "Sir" is fine and recommends that she make herself at home until the FO and CO have finished their discussion and are again available. After visiting her quarters long enough to dump her belongings, new CNS Julianna Ward traipses down to the Counselling Office to read her predecessor's notes and recommendations. After getting up to speed in the Counselling Department, Julianna hunts down CSciO Sudak to ask about HAMILTON's mission progress. Doctor Landon-Leeds enters the Science Lab shortly after and proposes turning their information pooling into a briefing for the entire senior staff. Before the proposed briefing, the SFInt mission specialist, saying all kinds of off-the-wall things, brings three PADDs with information on the Seltika Sector to the attention of Leeds and Gibbons. ********* USS SAGAN ********* NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED ************************* Beaver Squadron Commander ************************* ~ Vacant ~ ************************* *************** USS HORIZON Captain Tergin GM: Ruud Visser *************** (The Horizon is currently investigating a dark matter anomaly in the Katarian sector.) Both away teams make it safely back to their ships and the medical staff takes care of the wounded. With the help of the resurrected Cal Douglas, the crew finally fight off the dark matter. Before going back to the "other world", Cal records a message for his friend Cady. Tergin is relieved to see things returning to normal, both on his ship and in his mind. Back aboard, FCO/2O Jarek Malaar talks to his foster father about how Jarek's wife, CNS Trinity Layne-Malaar, has changed lately. Captain Tergin meets his new first officer. **************** USS ATHENE Commander Krwn GM Kathy Ruether **************** Miranda and Jouri are led to Lee's home, which is larger than most of the huts of the community and made of wood instead of a combination of straw and wood as they have seen. Miranda explains further to him about their story. The group had been on a starship five years earlier when Jouri and Jur were injured. Being a close group, they had not wanted to be separated. So when Starfleet had decided to send the two parties injured to a starbase and then to be reassigned, the group took a shuttle. They ended up staying on a planet for a year, which during that time Jouri and Jur recovered. After the planet, the group returned to Earth to hide until a year ago Starfleet found them once again and they took running ending up crashing on Talos IV. Ian leaves the shuttle after contact with Miranda. As he heads for the south side of town where there are supposed to be hills, the CSO notices that the town is growing farther away with each step. Ian isn't sure whether the Talosians are using illusions on him or the group in town. He finally decides to give up and finds somewhere to sleep. The Talosians have replaced him without the away team's knowledge. Ab retrieves Jur from the hospital so they can join the group for dinner. When the two arrive, they learn they have been somewhat spared from Jouri 's made up stories. The group is introduced to an older gentleman and lady, who turns out to be Captain Christopher Pike and his wife, Vina. **************************** USS HERMES Commander Michael J. The trail leads them to a former Starfleet officer named Biff O'Connor. An attempted assassination of John Roberts fails. Roberts is moved, under Security escort, to safer quarters. During the move however, the Security team is gassed and Roberts kidnapped. Further investigation of the incident leads them to Lt. Santos (NPC) a member of the Security team. Santos was former bagman for O'Connor's gambling ring aboard the USS ROOTMYER. Roberts had shut the gambling ring down, causing O'Connor to loose his career in Starfleet and spend years in prison. Now, Santos was being blackmailed by O'Connor into assisting in Roberts' destruction. With Santos' cooperation, a trap is planned to capture O'Connor. Roberts is physically tortured by his captor, O'Connor, in a fit of revenge. Dr. Villeray and Jack Kersh have a 'therapy' session is a small holoroom that Villeray had discovered in the Medical area. Elisabeth Davies) ********************************************************************* UPDATED SD 13.0213 The Federation/Na'Chem Ceasefire is still in effect. Although, the Na'Stiu faction continues with efforts to upset the Ceasefire. The USS SELEYA has met with leaders of one cell of the Na'Stiu and continue to negotiate for a peaceful arrangement, despite Na'Stiu attacks continuing from other cells. The USS ZEUS came under fire during a recent patrol, but the attackers were repelled with no casualties on the ZEUS. Na'Stiu vessels have avoided conflict with the USS XERXES. Diplomatic relations with the Juun are still considered to be in 'a tense period' and talks have been initiated to resolve the situation. Captain Mara Nemec has been somewhat successful in establishing a working dialogue with leaders of anti-Federation factions. Progress is slow but noticeable. Official reports on the temporal anomalies in the Cocoon have been released to upper administration, but remain highly classified. No further information will be presented on this matter. Actions to relegitimize SFIntel are proceeding. Recent rogue SFIntel activity aboard the USS HAMILTON has been contained, and investigations will continue on all levels of SFIntel. *************************************** Amgine Sector Report (by Lt. Alac Nond) *************************************** OP108 has completed installation of its orbital docking platform and commercial and Fleet activity continues to grow in the area. Due to extenuating circumstances, the USS COCHRANE has been recalled from its mission to investigate missing ships in the area of the wormhole. Fleet Administration is currently evaluating the situation and a new mission to investigate will begin soon. Results of the Noo'Ach Peace and Trade conference are showing measurable effects as the Federation is currently considering three new civilization's applications to the UFP. Continuous trade routes have been established with the Malvedians and the Zillimese. Members of the Sori'arian race have set up commercial outlets on DS101 and are still negotiating for a more active trade with the Federation. ***************************************** Beyond the Portal (by LtCmdr. Eli Meyman) ***************************************** Relations with the Klingon Empire continue to improve, with the reactivation of the officer exchange program. Primarily medical, science and engineering officers have been exchanged, including one officer on the USS HORIZON. Still no official comments from the Cardassian Union. The new Tecumseh-class battle cruiser, the USS ATHENE, has entered the primary stage of its mission and all communication has ceased, as per orders, since leaving StarBase 11. The mission is expected to last three weeks. Activity on the Tholian border has increased, and StarFleet is sending more ships to investigate. No conflict is expected, but the Tholians have refused to answer diplomatic overtures and maintain contact silence. Most recent reports indicate that the activity is primarily colonial and commercial. Romulan Ambassador Tultia has arrived on Bajor to meet with Vulcan leaders. The subject is unification, although Tultia is widely known to be adamantly against the unification movement and no progress is expected, according to the Diplomatic Corps. Vulcan Ambassador Skarov has stated that he will do everything possible to work with Ambassador Tultia and her staff to progress toward a satisfactory result. ********************************************************
