When CMO Jill Landon-Leeds is bringing herself up to speed with her department, she reads with some indignation about the lapse of procedure that allowed Chandler and Mercedes into the Counsellor's unattended office. The captain and counsellor have a tense discussion over the issue, particularly since they disagree about its importance and CNS Jo Carters, still a bit big for a Commander's britches after being in command for the simulation, impatiently dismisses CO Antonio Leeds! FO Judah Gibbons is offered a chance to try out bigger britches when Starfleet takes up Leeds' recommendation and offers him command of the USS HERMES. Judah feels strongly that he should give them a, "Thanks, but no thanks," but decides to talk about it with CNS Carters first. ********* USS SAGAN ********* NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED ************************* Beaver Squadron Commander ************************* ~ Vacant ~ ************************* *************** USS HORIZON Captain Tergin GM: Ruud Visser *************** (The Horizon is currently investigating a dark matter anomaly in the Katarian sector.) Captain Tergin keeps being mentally attacked, and he knows his defenses won't hold for long anymore. After escaping from yet another posessed crewmember in the shuttle bay, the Horizon's away team arrives safely aboard Research Station Arkon. CNS Jay McMadeth arrives along with them in an escape pod, though nobody knows it's him. SOO Arkanis makes contact with his new FO, Cmdr. Leyson Ayden. They find a Meparchkan, apparently the only survivor aboard. She holds a death Cadet Maggie in her arms. Meanwhile, the late Cadet Cal Douglas appears in engineering in order to help his former crewmates. **************** USS ATHENE Commander Krwn GM Kathy Ruether **************** The plan for crashing the shuttle on Talos IV goes into action trying to make it as real as possible. The shuttle is stripped of most of its Starfleet markings and sabotaged for the crash. The Hollander twins and Day work in the holodeck to perfect the crash so not to kill the occupants of the shuttle including themselves. Sands, Lehron, and Jorden work on their cover story which is that they are civilians, but if that is found to be false, then they are renegades from Starfleet using the civilian story as a cover-up. Nurse Gentry and Dr. Morit work on the mind reading devices. Krwn, who is now back in his body and fit for duty, and the ATHENE will be doing a search and rescue for them. The CSO does have some concern that Krwn might alter the probe when he retrieves it, so they agree that someone should take a look at its readings before the CO. Finally the away team leaves the ATHENE with CEO, Shawn Day at the controls. Back on Talos IV, the Talosians in an underground cavern because destroying their environment, known all about the team's plan of the shuttle crash and what they will do once on the planet. This is of the Melkot, Rrrgth that they have in one of their zoos. Rrrgth must be rescued because he has the future of the Federation in his hands. The Talosians decide to let the humans that live on the planet, rescue the team and will wait until the away team reveals their true identity. ******************* USS HERMES Captain India Baker GM Scott Bradley ******************* NO REPORT SUBMITTED ************************* Condor Squadron Commander ************************* ~ Vacant ~ ************************* ************** DS 101 Captain Alyza GM Don Ratliff ************** On Cichoka III: Ensign Kersh volunteers to participate in the search for Dr. Villeray. Although officially aboard as CNS, Kersh did minor in Security at the Academy. Fortunately Dr. Villeray had already been rescued by the Gortu authorities. Villeray and Kersh continue efforts to assist the Gortu. The effort to replace the methane in the atmosphere with nitrogen is successful. Efforts to raise the low-lying, tidal wave threatened areas are also successful. Mission accomplished the HIKARU heads back to DS-101, with a short stop at OP-108 to allow treatment of Ensign Hicks. On DS-101: Gallic learns that Lt. Cmdr. Roberts' body and mind have been permanently changed as a result of activation of the neural program. Lt. Mike takes Capt. Questivo and Admiral. Morisas aboard the LEGACY. They are introduced to Axalon, a semi-sentient computer originally from an old Cyrnin ship, but now serves as the LEGACY's computer. Lt. Mike tells the officers of the five-hundred slaves freed from the Xu'sorfians. The former slaves minds are now inhabiting mechanical drones, about the size of a black tennis ball, in the LEGACY's shuttlebay. Lt. Mike introduces the officers to these beings. These beings communicate with Lt. Mike via an universal translator which they had implanted in his DNA structure. The beings were given the name 'Rachets' by the LEGACY crew. The Rachets express a desire to help the Federation in any manner which they can. Admiral Morisas accepts the offer. Lt. Steve O'brady arrives at DS-101. Je'lar begins the transfer of his cargo using the 'borrowed' shuttle. An incoming message on secure channel interrupts him. ************ USS COCHRANE ************ NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRYDOCKED **************** USS NIGHTINGALE LtCmdr Pol Canon GM Mistie Smith **************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED ********************************************************************* Cocoon Fleet Situation Intelligence Report (by Adm. Elisabeth Davies) ********************************************************************* UPDATED SD 13.0213 The Federation/Na'Chem Ceasefire is still in effect. Although, the Na'Stiu faction continues with efforts to upset the Ceasefire. The USS SELEYA has met with leaders of one cell of the Na'Stiu and continue to negotiate for a peaceful arrangement, despite Na'Stiu attacks continuing from other cells. The USS ZEUS came under fire during a recent patrol, but the attackers were repelled with no casualties on the ZEUS. Na'Stiu vessels have avoided conflict with the USS XERXES. Diplomatic relations with the Juun are still considered to be in 'a tense period' and talks have been initiated to resolve the situation. Captain Mara Nemec has been somewhat successful in establishing a working dialogue with leaders of anti-Federation factions. Progress is slow but noticeable. Official reports on the temporal anomalies in the Cocoon have been released to upper administration, but remain highly classified. No further information will be presented on this matter. Actions to relegitimize SFIntel are proceeding. Recent rogue SFIntel activity aboard the USS HAMILTON has been contained, and investigations will continue on all levels of SFIntel. *************************************** Amgine Sector Report (by Lt. Alac Nond) *************************************** OP108 has completed installation of its orbital docking platform and commercial and Fleet activity continues to grow in the area. Due to extenuating circumstances, the USS COCHRANE has been recalled from its mission to investigate missing ships in the area of the wormhole. Fleet Administration is currently evaluating the situation and a new mission to investigate will begin soon. Results of the Noo'Ach Peace and Trade conference are showing measurable effects as the Federation is currently considering three new civilization's applications to the UFP. Continuous trade routes have been established with the Malvedians and the Zillimese. Members of the Sori'arian race have set up commercial outlets on DS101 and are still negotiating for a more active trade with the Federation. ***************************************** Beyond the Portal (by LtCmdr. Eli Meyman) ***************************************** Relations with the Klingon Empire continue to improve, with the reactivation of the officer exchange program. Primarily medical, science and engineering officers have been exchanged, including one officer on the USS HORIZON. Still no official comments from the Cardassian Union. The new Tecumseh-class battle cruiser, the USS ATHENE, has entered the primary stage of its mission and all communication has ceased, as per orders, since leaving StarBase 11. The mission is expected to last three weeks. Activity on the Tholian border has increased, and StarFleet is sending more ships to investigate. No conflict is expected, but the Tholians have refused to answer diplomatic overtures and maintain contact silence. Most recent reports indicate that the activity is primarily colonial and commercial. Romulan Ambassador Tultia has arrived on Bajor to meet with Vulcan leaders. The subject is unification, although Tultia is widely known to be adamantly against the unification movement and no progress is expected, according to the Diplomatic Corps. Vulcan Ambassador Skarov has stated that he will do everything possible to work with Ambassador Tultia and her staff to progress toward a satisfactory result. ********************************************************
