When she comes back to try to explain herself, FO Judah Gibbons turns her back around and makes a career counselling appointment for 1000 the next day. After the shift is over, CO Antonio Leeds decides to take his daughter out on a "date" to cheer her up and Mercedes is invited to join them when she enters the Officers' Mess in search of dinner. aCMO Rogers and aCNS Brei consult about a pregnant patient who may be the victim of physical abuse from her partner and aCSciO Corina Riannalyn discovers that not only did their 10 Na'Chem attackers most likely come from the lone system they scanned days ago, but they also show signs of having travelled through the Cocoon Wall. The HAMILTON shortly arrives at OMEGA and many of the crew begin leave or try to decide what they will do when their turn comes. Meanwhile, HAMILTON's new orders arrive. -----USS DESIRE (USS HAMILTON CGT)------ After amplifying sensors against the nebula's interference, the DESIRE retrieves all but 9 of HAWKING's crew, by count, before sufficient interceptors are launched to deter them. Once outside the stellar cloud, CO Joanne Carters questions an impostor who says he only saw Orions and HAWKING crew. He then adds that the ship is an alien intelligence that needs rescue too, casting doubt on the other information he has given. A disruptive member of the HAWKING crew is found to have Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome and becomes terrified when anyone tries to physically move him somewhere or repeatedly assures him that they are his friends. ********* USS SAGAN ********* NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED ************************* Beaver Squadron Commander ************************* ~ Vacant ~ ************************* *************** USS HORIZON Captain Tergin GM: Ruud Visser *************** (The Horizon is currently investigating a dark matter anomaly in the Katarian sector.) Captain Tergin awakes in sickbay and secretly leaves, against the doctor's advice, for the bridge. The medical officers break out from the cargo bay and CMO Bill Patton checks on FCO/2O Jarek Malaar, who's looking good given the fact that he spent five seconds in vacuum. Or'nonya and No'urdan argue whether they should share information they have with the crew, but Or says they can't because of the Meparchkan Final Ruling, even if that would save their loved ones. No disagrees. OPS Blaze Starsinger interfaces with the ship's computer and hears the good ghosts from the anomaly. He is told that the only way they can escape, is by sacrificing a number of the crew to still the hunger of the many death in the anomaly. CNS Jay McMadeth talks to the mysterious Maggy again and she tells him they have to go to the center of the anomaly to be free. Cmdr. P'Nehbuddar awakes from the death and attacks CEO Dariale in sickbay. With the help of a security team, Arkanis, and a protoplaster, the former FO is stopped. In the science labs, a science officer is briefly posessed by a good ghost who has him write down some complex calculations to help the crew. After locking away P'Nehbuddar's remains, Patton sees his late wife and still-born son. The temptation to accept them is big, but his common sense wins and he refuses. Meanwhile, the Dakota arrives at the anomaly and Cmdr. Ayden gives his instructions to avoid getting trapped as well. **************** USS ATHENE Commander Krwn GM Kathy Ruether **************** Captain Anthony Reese and Lt. Suven are called back to Starbase 11 for reasons that are pretty unclear. Krwn's rank of Commander is finally reinstated back to him after a court-martial five years ago. Lt. Miranda Sands is made the ATHENE's new XO though she doesn't feel ready for this, but Jur helps make her feel better about it. Krwn is made its new Captain though he is under investigation. His change of rank and bump to captain takes many of the crew by surprise. During the Admiral Evers' visit, he experiences some slight confusion when meeting the Hollander twins. The Admiral goes to sickbay to settle down and meeting CNS, Jur and 2O/OPS Miranda in the corridors does not help his state of mind. Later the Admiral activates the self-destruct mechanism, which will go off in three weeks if the ATHENE does not come back to Starbase 11 by then. Only someone with Admiral clearance can deactivate it. A silent countdown until one hour before has been made. Dr. Morit informs Krwn that they have found a procedure to return him back to his original body, which is currently in stasis. Krwn is asked to go down to one of the MedLabs to get started. Also Krwn asks Miranda on who should go on the away mission once they reach Talos IV. ******************* USS HERMES Captain India Baker GM Scott Bradley ******************* NO REPORT SUBMITTED ************************* Condor Squadron Commander ************************* ~ Vacant ~ ************************* ************** DS 101 Captain Alyza GM Don Ratliff ************** On DS-101, reporter Daniel Sayer, has a dream that seems to portend a communication from an unknown alien race. The dream warns of an invasion or war. Cady and Goose confirm sensor readings of a major earthquake on the planet. Parts of the planet's northern continent disappear into the sea. The loss of life is estimated at more that 600,000; with many times that number injured. Captain Alyza considers the magnitude to the disaster decides to communicate directly with the Gortu government and offer whatever assistance the HIKARU can. She speaks with President Akamai, the elected leader of the Gortu. Akamai seems surprised when Alyza mentions that the HIKARU had received previous requests for no contact from representatives of the Gortu government. Indeed President Akamai welcomed any assistance that the Federation could offer. Captain Alyza, Ensign Goose, Lt. Cady, Ensign Villeray, and a small security detachment prepare to make First Contact with the Gortu. On Chichoka II, as the Gortu world is called, there is disagreement among those in high positions about this Federation contact. The Gortu had previous contact with an alien race of small statue that was far from beneficial for the Gortu. Agreement is finally reached among them to allow contact, but to keep a close, covert watch on the Federation representatives. Meanwhile back at DS-101, Je'lar and Rouge make contact with a Ferengi trading vessel. Captain Alyza, Commanding Officer of Deep Space 101, is awarded the Picard Medal of Honor for her long time service and dedication to Starfleet and the Cocoon Fleet. ************ USS COCHRANE ************ NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRYDOCKED **************** USS NIGHTINGALE LtCmdr Pol Canon GM Mistie Smith **************** Ensign Stuart having just finished his report on the space port investigation, waits in the transporter room to see in their new visitor, Z'Dark, who was rescued from floating in space, after his shuttle exploded. Lt Cmdr Pol Cannon is sitting in his new captains chair, sipping tea and studying the bridge crew. They pick up a ship on long range sensors, which ends up being the Uss Elizabeth Blackwell. Who is there to assist in the last stages of the vaccination, the clean up crew. Cannon invites them to dinner, and orders all Nightingale senior staff to attend, formal wear. Marcol, Ma'kauran and Qoe are investigating what is possibly a federation shuttle reckage. They find two dead starfleet officers (who end up being Romulan) in the cockpit, at the back they are surprised to find two more Romulans, who are alive but unconcious. Which they beam back to the nightingale. Payl'n protects his 'patients' from Qoe who want to question them now. Lt Kate Brown, the new counselor beams aboard with her son, Jaden, and is told about the formal dress dinner, and is met by the XO. The Dinner begins, and the staff go about socialising with the crew of the Elizabeth Blackwell. ********************************************************************* Cocoon Fleet Situation Intelligence Report (by Adm. Elisabeth Davies) ********************************************************************* UPDATED SD 13.0120 The Federation/Na'Chem Ceasefire is still in effect. Although, the Na'Stiu faction continues with efforts to upset the Ceasefire. StarFleet vessels have been dispatched to attempt to negotiate with the Na'Stiu and provide peacekeeping defense. The USS SELEYA is currently pursuing negotiation efforts while the XERXES and ZEUS have been patrolling areas of intense Na'Stiu activity. Diplomatic relations with the Juun are still considered to be in 'a tense period' and talks have been initiated to resolve the situation. Captain Mara Nemec, Juun StarFleet officer, has been assigned to the Juun homeworld to attempt to repair the situation which has recently escalated after riots in the Vu'rain province and the trial of several doctors believed to be responsible for the Genetic Experimentation scandals. This news comes only 10 months since a team led by Captain Alyza of DS 101 uncovered evidence that the Juun Union was indeed developing a weapon of mass destruction. The lives of many Seekers were lost during the investigation which ended on SD 12.0501. The recent temporal anomalies prevalent in the Cocoon seem to have waned, although official reports are still unavailable at this time. Recent departure of Admiral Fergal McKewan has caused restructuring in the Cocoon Fleet Command. McKewan has been replaced on interim basis by field-promoted Fleet Admiral Fuschia Tino. Captain Elisabeth Davies, recently made Head of Cocoon Fleet Intelligence has been given a field promotion to Admiral and named as interim Fleet Executive Officer. All Squadron Commander positions are currently unfilled and the interim brass is in process of searching for successors. Captain Ardeous Brockman will be in command of the continuing clean-up of SFIntel in the Cocoon and Commander Foster Ryan has been assigned as new Chief Training Officer for the Fleet. *************************************** Amgine Sector Report (by Lt. Alac Nond) *************************************** DEEP SPACE 101 has seen much activity as its engineering capability's are undergoing a major upgrading. Also facilities for accommodating its new role as a secondary command centre in the event of catastrophe befalling SB OMEGA are in the process of being added. Work progresses slowly but the facilities are nearly completed. OP108 has completed installation of its orbital docking platform and commercial and Fleet activity continues to grow in the area. Recent disappearance of the ships in the area has prompted Fleet Command to send the USS COCHRANE, now cleared of framed treason charges, to investigate the space around OP 108 and the Andromeda wormhole. The Noo'ach Peace and Trade Conference was extremely successful, resulting in many new trade and diplomatic relations being established with several new races. Although a mobile anomaly appeared in the area, nearly causing the destruction of the USS HORIZON, USS HIKARU and a Hetgarot vessel, the conference was spared any turmoil. The Hetgarot concerns about the recent elevated activity near OP 108 has been eased due to the success of the conference. ***************************************** Beyond the Portal (by LtCmdr. Eli Meyman) ***************************************** Relations with the Klingon Empire have improved steadily since the completion of the New Khitomer Concorde. The Cardassian Union continues to make no official comment on the situation, but intelligence shows military activity at a minimum within the Union. Fleet yards across the Federation have been putting in extra efforts and brought the capacity of Starfleet's Fleet's back up to what they were. The ship yards are now slowing their production of starships and focusing on developing new designs that require less personnel, as what Starfleet lacks now is the personnel to staff the ships. All Starfleet Fleets have regained their strengths. The new Tecumseh-class battle cruiser, the first ship to be produced exclusively in the Cocoon has been retitled the USS ATHENE, in honor of the previously destroyed ATHENE. Although the ATHENE's current mission is TOP SECRET, Command has confirmed that the majority of the mission will take place outside of the Cocoon. All eyes in the Federation are awaiting results of the Tecumseh-class' maiden voyage, as production may begin at non-Cocoon shipyards. Recent activity on the Tholian border has resulted in increased monitoring. No military threat is perceived at this time. ********************************************************
