COCOON FLEET SITUATION REPORT SD: 11.0921 ******* Antelope Squadron: Commodore Tara Cadoriet --- OUTPOST 108 No report submitted. *** USS ARTEMIS During a period or relative calm aboard the USS ARTEMIS the aCO while in the sickbay assures Agh that he won't be kidnapped by aliens like the captain was. Later after his meeting down in the sickbay, Paul discovers that another wreck has been discovered on the planet where the saphusian's had lost there scout vessel. It appears to be ikata in origin. The aCo then formulates the idea that maybe the crew of the ARTEMIS can retrieve some of the ikata technology in hopes of retrieving the captain. *** USS SAGAN Currently Drydocked. ****** Beaver Squadron: Commodore J.M.Power --- USS HORIZON The HORIZON encounters Elijah Cassius, a pilot for hire, working for the Juun. Communications do not go well, and brief violence is the result. Capt. Tergin forces the pirate to back off to a nearby nebula. Meanwhile, the HORIZON receives a distress call from the surface, and the ship separates, the Drive section headed from the nebula, and the Saucer remaining to more closely investigate the surface of Vagra 3. *** USS ATHENE No report submitted. *** USS KATANA The Inquiry into Dr. Treyena Bra'an's actions during the Away Mission on Mossara's pirate base finally comes to a close with the release of classified reports to the KATANA's capatin. The illegally gathered information revealed the intensity of the provocation Bra'an had been responding to and was sent to Captain Thelek with orders to pardon the doctor and send the sealed proceedings back to Earth. In response, both Chaela Kqrin (Bra'an's spokesperson) and Treyena herself... rearrange their decoration schemes in their seperate rooms, enraged by the revelation that the whole time someone somewhere had been using Bra'an as a tool against the pirates. The only reason they hadn't decided to toss her aside was because she likely would be of further use. Meanwhile, another whiff of the corruption hiding behind the scenes comes from the orders suddenly delivered to Thesonik. The assignment as CSO to a ship whose top speed is Warp 4 reeks of, "This is what happens to those that keep that isolinear chip from us" to Thelek and "Keep your nose out" to Thesonik. *** SB OMEGA No report submitted. ****** Condor Squadron: Commodore Wynton Spires --- USS COCHRANE No report submitted. *** DS 101 The MANTA's shields are down to 47% so McPherson suggests a change to the deflector dish to boost the power. Whilst he is in deflector control a charge bursts and explosion wounds the CSciO. The CMO tries to revive McPherson but to no avail, can't do. The Manta dodges a salvo of torps from the Degrad ships, and manages to fire off her own and knocks the propulsion off the lead ship. Captain Alyza then hails the other ship as it backs away, but keeps the MANTA in it's sights. *** USS CURIE The Dergrad named Lital onboard the Curie contacts the Dergrad ship, and with the help of the Ambassador, averts a fight by the way of some minor blackmail. Afterwards, the Capt. meets up with the new CMO in sickbay. Lt. Mike escorts Lital to the transprter room, because he has chosen to return to his ship. Mike then checks in at Engineering to find that the crew is busy locating and eliminating the last fragments of the computer virus. Galia is still two different people, and the invisible one finds that she and her double are not out of phase, but yet the ship does not recognize her as far as doors and other functions of the ship are concerned. As she attempts to travel through the ship via the jeffries tubes, she bumps into Ensign Perigrin who CAN see her, leaving her in some confusion about what is going on. ******* Viper Squadron: Commodore Davis Dal Starian --- USS DURHAM No report submitted. *** USS IBUTHO No report submitted. *** USS KRIEGER No report submitted. *** USS ZAHAL No report submitted. ****** Cocoon Fleet Situation Intelligence Report: by Cmdr. Ilu A ceasefire exists between the Federation and the Na'Chem. Starfleet is still investigating allegations of Genocide against the Na'Chem. A small number of Na'Chem factions are refusing to acknowledge the ceasefire. Calling themselves the Na'stiu, they continue raids against the Juun. Diplomatic relations with the Juun are officially considered to be undergoing 'a tense period' and talks have been initiated to resolve the situation. There has been no official statement about what items are under discussion but it is believed that any progress to date has been negligible. After the recent uncovering of mass infiltration into the Starfleet cocoon command, the vast majority of suspects have either fled, committed suicide or been brought into custody. The clean-up operation has been able to remain relatively low-key as to avoid unsettling the political waters of the cocoon. Amgine Sector Report: by Lt. Serin Erl Deep Space 101 has seen much activity as its engineering capability's are undergoing a major upgrading. Also facility's for accommodating its new role as a secondary command centre in the event of catastrophe befalling OMEGA SB are in the process of being added. OP108 is also being upgraded in the form of an orbital docking platform being sent there, enabling the base to cater for and repair/service even the largest of the federations ships. The base has seen its status raised as a direct result of the stable wormhole to the Andromeda galaxy being discovered in the area. The platform will take some time to arrive as towing such a large structure is a slow business. These moves have, as expected, raised some tension with the races in the area, though the Hetgarot seem satisfied that there is no threat involved and remain on the same friendly footing as previous. Beyond the Portal: by Lt. Michael Walters The Klingon Empire maintains in Ceasefire with the Federation following the exposure of a conspiracy between the Klingon Houses in the former Occupied zone and the Cardassian Union. Peace Negotiations are proceeding slowly on Khitomer, several of the Federation's top ambassadors have been sent and recent reports say that the Negotiations are nearing an end. Given the length of time that this has been claimed, it is obvious that the party's involved have still several major sticking points to address, though for as long as dialog continues, the hope of peace still remains attainable. Fleet yards across the Federation are putting in extra effort to bring the fleets numbers back up to what they were before the war. What Starfleet lacks now is the personnel to staff those ships. Federation fleets are regrouping and rebuilding following the recent war. The eighth fleet, sixth and third fleets are the only fleets so far to regain their numbers to what they were before the war. Respectfully Submitted, Tom Doyle, Fleet GM for Holoworld
