COCOON FLEET SITUATION REPORT SD: 11.0824 ******* Antelope Squadron: Commodore Tara Cadoriet --- *** USS ATHENE Using her psychic abbilities the CMO is able to determine that the bodies recovered from the crashed runabout worked for Crenshaw, the man who still holds Simms' son Galen. By dredging up the memories of the bodies and by keen scientific examination of the System the crew of the Athene are able to determine not only the heading of the ship Crenshaw left on but also it's type, an augmented but rather old Romulan ship with cloaking abbilities. Unable to risk a firefight, the Captain begins to formulate a plan for capturing back Galen without engaging the mercenary ship. ****** Beaver Squadron: Commodore J.M.Power --- *** USS HORIZON Lt. Bordak's (relationally) little sister Brenala enters her metamorphic cocoon, as Bordak himself did, not so long ago. After this event, Bordak confronts his father about Dakmid's death. He leaves with answers, of a kind, but does not feel any better for it. And though Bordak puts on a front of coping, and does his best to move on, his closest friends are still worried about him. Lt(jg). Jarek Malaar becomes obsessed with the idea of P'Ghal's treachery, and begins to question the validity of what the Custodians had explained to him. He drinks in the Ship's Edge until he passes out. Not soon thereafter, Cptn. Tergin meets with Kabrik, Bordak's father. They come to an arrangement between them in which Bordak will be able to complete the ritual watching over of his little sister, without leaving the ship. Brenala will stay on the HORIZON. * After a brief rest, the HORIZON receives it's new mission orders. On Vagra 3, an unknown party has breached the well earned planetary quarantine to attain a sample of the planets native, and extremely dangerous, fauna. The ultimate purpose of which being to construct biological weaponry. The HORIZON must travel to Vagra 3 and intercept the unknown party, retrieving the sample, and taking care of it as best decided at the time. *** USS KATANA FCO London is relieved by Chaela's gentle handling even as Captain Thelek is intrigued by it. CSO Kris Rickson is called to the stand and sworn in. Captain Marshal questions him about the previous Away Mission, where Dr. Bra'an also pulled a knife on a male from Mosarra's organization. Rickson admits to believing, before the more recent mission, that Bra'an would act in a similar manner on that excursion. When Marshal finally relinquishes the witness, Chaela Kqrin proposes that the Inquiry format be changed to a less open mode, in order to reduce the trauma to those who had beamed into the pirate base. Thelek agrees, countering Marshal's protests with the fact that he has the right to decide and has made the decision. The Inquiry is adjurned and preparations begun to make the remainder of the Inquiry a discussion of what happened, between Counsellor, patient, and Captains. *** USS ARTEMIS As the ARTEMIS leaves the Beta Colony of their secondary mission, the crew has a short while to reflect on the nature of recent events. Individually, they provide their thoughts to the captain. Lt. Agah, the ship's doctor, enters the holodeck to undergo brief Command Training, now that she is the ship's second officer. Her training begins almost as soon as she enters the holographic bridge, and she is confronted by wailing Klaxons, and a set of strange ships... Meanwhile, the USS ARTEMIS arrives at the Lophrous Sector on schedule. Activating their 'stealth' mode, the ship quietly observes the arrival and activity of three small ships, presumed to belong to the race they have been sent to investigate in the first place. In the midst of this, the computer takes it upon itself to "confuse" a set of communications between Lt. Brown, and Lt. Cmdr. Springs. the two of them await a later dinner date, each with vastly different expectations. In a confusion turn of events, the ARTEMIS is hailed by one of the three small vessels. A brief First Contact is established, and the seemingly peaceful aliens agree to beam aboard to discuss the nature of the Federation, and to have their questions answered. Lt. Cmdr. Marshall, and several others in the crew, however, are suspicious of the seemingly ill-matched range of technology displayed by the aliens. ****** Condor Squadron: Commodore Wynton Spires --- OUTPOST 108 No report submitted. *** USS COCHRANE No report submitted. *** DS 101 No report submitted. *** USS CURIE Lt. Cmdr. Leeds recalls Lt. Mike to the beamout point, and checks in with the Captain. meanwhile, there is not solution to the problem with the computer core, but they continue to narrow down their search. Galia finds that she is no longer visible to anyone on the bridge except for Judah, and that everyone seems to think she is still on the Dergrad ship with the Away team. ******* Viper Squadron: Commodore Davis Dal Starian --- USS DURHAM No report submitted. *** USS IBUTHO No report submitted. *** USS KRIEGER No report submitted. *** USS ZAHAL No report submitted. ****** Cocoon Fleet Situation Intelligence Report: by Cmdr. Ilu A ceasefire exists between the Federation and the Na'Chem. The Juun have made no official comment. Several Officials sacked from the Juun government following the exposure of genocide committed against the Na'Chem by the Juun have attempted to lure the Federation into a war with the Na'Chem. Starfleet is investigating these allegations of Genocide against the Na'Chem heavily which may threaten the Juun's position in the Federation. Starfleet Intelligence Officers are on the scene and investigating the reports of Romulan influence in the matter. A small number of Na'Chem factions are refusing to acknowledge the ceasefire. Calling themselves the Na'stiu, they continue raids against the Juun. An area of space being dubbed the ‘Bermuda Triangle' has left Several Starfleet vessels missing. A ship has been sent to investigate. Amgine Sector Report: by Lt. Serin Erl Deep Space 101 has returned to it's previous location. The exact circumstances of it's disappearance have been divulged to Cocoon Fleet Headquarters. Outpost 108's construction proceeds on schedule, it's support vessel however has left on a joint mission with the Klingon vessel "Kahless' Blood". The USS CURIE has returned from the far end of the Cocoon. A new HAWKING class ship has arrived to replace the aging FEYNMAN. Beyond the Portal: by Lt. Michael Walters The Klingon Empire has established a Ceasefire with the Federation following the exposure of a conspiracy between the Klingon Houses in the former Occupied zone and the Cardassian Union. Peace Negotiations are proceeding slowly on Khitomer, several of the Federation's top ambassadors have been sent and recent reports say that the Negotiations are nearing an end. Fleet yards across the Federation are putting in extra effort to bring the fleets numbers back up to what they were before the war. What Starfleet lacks now is the personnel to staff those ships. Federation fleets are regrouping and rebuilding following the recent war. The eighth fleet, sixth and third fleets are the only fleets so far to regain their numbers to what they were before the war. The wormhole at DS 12 has finally sufficiently stabilized for traffic to resume to the Gamma Quadrant. Respectfully Submitted, Tom Doyle, Fleet GM for Holoworld
