Malaar has a run in with the changeling, and is left almost dead by the experience. He is rescued by Ens. Arkanis, who ultimately kills the changeling with a phaser blast. Arkanis is left anguished by his use of the rifle, a great sin amongst his people. Malaar wakes later, in a sickbay, to learn of his timely savior, and also of Arkanis' current mood, which is not so good. Back on the HORIZON, a small space craft, a freighter of indefinite origins appears on sensors, ignoring hails. As the bridge crew ponders the intent of the freighter, another ship enters the play. This time, a Federation starship, the USS FENIAN. As communications with the FENIAN are established, the Freighter, up until now passive, opens fire on the larger ships. As Lt. Cmdr. Tergin orders a Tachion Burst readied, sensors pick up multiple transports to the FENIAN. *** USS KATANA KATANA CNS Chaela Kqrin and her old CO Thesonik have it out about Ryan Trask's escapades and Chaela has to steady herself before she can continue on her way to escort the accused, Treyena Bra'an to the Inquiry. Trey has both Chaela and Kitru supporting her when they arrive at the converted Conference Room, but none of them are prepared for the numbers of off-duty KATANA staff present. Trey glares about as the three make their way to their places in the front, believing that the whole thing is going to turn out to be the circus she had predicted, with her emotions and memories paraded before the all the prying eyes crowded into the room. Each time her meet those of someone in the Gallery, however, that other's gaze shifts elsewhere and she finds this most reassuring. Krwn is called as the first witness. When Marshal unwittingly opens up a legal loophole, however, Krwn departs from the formal Q/A format to make an unadorned, uncomplimentary Statement about Dr. Bra'an's conduct in general. The recording from the tap into the base's monitoring system is displayed at the end of Marshal's examination of the witness and Trey's actions in the recording shock gasps from the off-duty personnel. Chaela begins to question Krwn. To two of her questions, Krwn answers that he does indeed consider his race superior to any other in the Federation and he does not belive that the Federation could accurately judge his psychological profile. During this questioning he also makes it known that he considers it deviant for anyone to refuse telepathic communication. The second witness, FCO Charles London, is called. Marshal swiftly begins questioning London about the Away Mission. London recounts that Bra'an took off into the base almost as soon as they materialized, basically forcing the rest of the group to follow. He further testifies under Marshal's questioning that the path Bra'an chose took them through some intense weapon's fire after which they lost sight of their loose-cannon guide for between 3 and 5 minutes. On catching back up with Trey, Thesonik and Marshal pried from London that he saw he holding the results of castrating one of the prostrated forms in the base cafeteria. Marshal instantly turns London over to the Defense. *** USS ARTEMIS No report submitted. ****** Condor Squadron: Commodore Wynton Spires --- OUTPOST 108 No report submitted. *** USS COCHRANE No report submitted. *** DS 101 The MANTA RAY is still in serious trouble, even after the inhibitor is taken care of, they don't have all systems back in operation and time is running out as the other ship closes, apparently for the kill. *** USS CURIE Lt. Ilu A ceasefire exists between the Federation and the Na'Chem. The Juun have made no official comment. Several Officials sacked from the Juun government following the exposure of genocide committed against the Na'Chem by the Juun have attempted to lure the Federation into a war with the Na'Chem. Starfleet is investigating these allegations of Genocide against the Na'Chem heavily which may threaten the Juun's position in the Federation. Starfleet Intelligence Officers are on the scene and investigating the reports of Romulan influence in the matter. A small number of Na'Chem factions are refusing to acknowledge the ceasefire. Calling themselves the Na'stiu, they continue raids against the Juun. An area of space being dubbed the ‘Bermuda Triangle' has left Several Starfleet vessels missing. A ship has been sent to investigate. Amgine Sector Report: by Lt. Serin Erl Deep Space 101 has returned to it's previous location. The exact circumstances of it's disappearance have been divulged to Cocoon Fleet Headquarters. Outpost 108's construction proceeds on schedule, it's support vessel however has left on a joint mission with the Klingon vessel "Kahless' Blood". The USS CURIE has returned from the far end of the Cocoon. A new HAWKING class ship has arrived to replace the aging FEYNMAN. Beyond the Portal: by Lt. Michael Walters The Klingon Empire has established a Ceasefire with the Federation following the exposure of a conspiracy between the Klingon Houses in the former Occupied zone and the Cardassian Union. Peace Negotiations are proceeding slowly on Khitomer, several of the Federation's top ambassadors have been sent and recent reports say that the Negotiations are nearing an end. Fleet yards across the Federation are putting in extra effort to bring the fleets numbers back up to what they were before the war. What Starfleet lacks now is the personnel to staff those ships. Federation fleets are regrouping and rebuilding following the recent war. The eighth fleet, sixth and third fleets are the only fleets so far to regain their numbers to what they were before the war. The wormhole at DS 12 has finally sufficiently stabilized for traffic to resume to the Gamma Quadrant. Respectfully Submitted, Tom Doyle, Fleet GM for Holoworld
