What the outside sees as kink... as bizarre sexual practices Many see as their religion. The relationship of the D/s is in many ways.... very similar to any typical hetero or homosexual relationship. There is desire, there is support, love, trust, familiarity. The foundations that all healthy relationships are based upon.

Unlike many relationships on the 'outside' however, the core and fundamental strength of the D/s is that of One Divine and One Devoted. The Domme provides strength for their little one. They provide lesson and guidance, love and support. They shape Their little one as They see fit, with the sub's ultimate success and maturation in mind. It is through the Domme's strength and Divine Wisdom that the sub finds fulfillment. A Domme, is One, who holds Great Power and Wisdom, and has decided that They are to share this with a devoted and dedicated soul. The sub, or devotee, is one who has determined that they have much to gain under the guidance and wisdom of Another so Great. They have a willingness to serve, and desire to learn, and have realized that the only path afforded them is the one that Another shall make and shape. These are the ways of the Temple of Discipline, a Divine marriage between the flesh and the spirit, and the balance that BDSM provides Us.

In the Temple, Our vision transcends what Many today are seeking in the Exchange of Power. Many do not realize, that it is beyond sexual pleasure, it is above the lust for Power, it is more than a casual relationship and affair. The commitment of One to another is great and sacred. It is not about a simple empty spot in One's being that needs filling, it is about the absolute and complete sentiency of being, of becoming more than One is. This is a Road that begins in the heart, and leads to eternity. The Path is marked with lesson, with trial and endurance, as its reward is transcendence.

The lessons shared are as unique as the teacher, but all have a commonality. It is to become more than what One is. Contrary to what may be believed, the teacher is both the Domme and sub. The Domme has Power and Divine Wisdom to install in Her devotee, and this is shared through lesson and trial and example. Yet there is no greater lesson than the servitude and devotion of a little one. The knowledge gained through the devotion of the submissive, is unique in that it may not be obtained in any other form. Through this complete adoration and absolute dedication of the sub, Our eyes are opened and shown, what could not have possibly seen before. This is the Mystery, the Power, the Secret of D/s.

The lessons may come in forms of Bondage and Discipline or Sadomasochism. The principles are the same, though the practices have much difference. B/D is a lesson of servitude. The completion of services and tasks, the relenting to solitude of bondage. It is psychological in foundation, the Discipline is training in service and proper mannerisms. The Bondage is a heavy impact, as the restraints are binding, and the body is made helpless. Both have the essence of Power Exchange. Discipline is psychological submission, Bondage is the giving of one's body to trusting and experienced hands.

Discipline: the practice and the perfect

Discipline is a manner of training one's mind... to be prepared to perform expected tasks with the quality and poise that is expected by their Domme. It is a well and wonderful journey to teach discipline: discipline to Others, and discipline to one's self. There are many who find the self-control they have sought, but has always eluded them. For many, this is their entry into the world of BDSM because its implications are light, and the promise is of service only.

Bondage: Our tool to teach

Bondage is a step for those who wish to increase the trust and the level of Power exchanged. To submit one's body, wholly and completely, to the restraint of Another, is a big step for many. The lessons learned in this are found in similar situations of sensory deprivation or prolongation/negation. There is a point when one has been secluded by their bondage, their restraint and extreme introspection may occur. It is a time to reflect and examine ones inner self and being. Much enlightenment has been achieved through these times of seclusion and isolation. Perhaps it is not that this one is in the isolation self imposed, or in a situation that they may quit at anytime, but rather the fact that their duration is completely controlled by Another, and it is up Their choice and direction when the session is to end. Some of the techniques involve placing this one into contorted positions that are uncomfortable at best, and blatantly twisting at worst. These are practices that edge upon SM, or SadoMasochism and has great value and potential for Those who wish to wade into the deep, dark foreboding waters of extreme sensation.

SadoMasochism: Our release from this Earth

SadoMasochism has had some of the worst misinterpretation of all aspects of this lifestyle. Many see it as psychologically imbalanced individuals who enjoy hurting themselves, or find pleasure in the pain of others. It is quite true and acceptable that there are T/those who participate in this practice who find the above mentioned motivations as ample reason to delve into this aspect of the Dark Divine Art. For those of Us of the Temple, and those guided by the Eternity and Wisdom of the Temple, Pain (like Pleasure) is a sensation or energy that can be directed and used for great achievement and lesson. Pain and Pleasure are the strongest energies We have. Through Pleasure and Pain, We teach all things are possible. Both are extreme sensations, that after a point, become interchangeable and inseparable. We may enter high states of consciousness through extreme Pain, and there We may find Pleasure. As the sensation's intensity increases the line (Our perception that affords Us the unique aspect of knowing the difference between what is shocking and harmful and what is pleasing and inviting) that separates Pain from Pleasure, the perception that We have that affords Us the unique aspect of knowing the difference between what is shocking, jolting and alarming and what is pleasing, inviting and beckoning becomes blurred and We may no longer make those decisions, or discern the differences We knew in the lower state of consciousness. It is here We are freed from Our Earthly bounds, and We leave the prisons of flesh, to enlighten and understand revelations in new and previously unattainable perspectives.

Passing through the Veil of Tears

There is a passage thru which one may only safely pass through while under extreme sensational duress. It is the same passage We take course of in the transition from Life to Death. These rites of extreme and different pain or pleasure ( different, because in injury We cross the line and lose a piece of Our bodies, but in SM, We have no lasting injury. Rather it is an extreme sensation that constitutes a level of endurance that in most cases would be harmful, perhaps life threatening if it were stemmed from actual injury) bring Us out of the mundane and into another beautiful world where spirituality is one and the same with desire and need. We may take this journey and better Ourselves, Our lives and those around Us. Our bodies are confused, as shock is designed to alleviate the pain we suffer from severe injury, shock will not come to Us in the same way when We suffer at the hands of non-injurious yet extreme sensation.

There are Those who are experts in this pain, and will bring one from Heaven to Hell in a matter of moments, then release them back to this world, shaken and filled with untold Glories and Horrors. It is quite obvious that this is not for A/all, as there are Many who do not have the insight or understanding to fully grasp these concepts, or at least have the intuition and control to properly execute them, and for that there is no need to go into techniques. The Temple's advice to Those who wish to learn, to is subject Themselves, as it is in this matter that the only lesson that will stand is that of first hand experience. Piercing and blood letting is a fellowship of these concepts, and has its place among that which uses extreme sensation to bring awareness and enlightenment.
