I'm sure most of you know all about Locutus as he appeared in Star Trek: The Next Generation. Those of you that do can skip down to the next paragraph. Anyway, the story is basicly as follows. The Borg, an evil race of cyborgs with a collective mentality determined to integrate all other cultures with their own, come to take over the Earth. The Enterprise comes into contact with the Borg ship (a nice cubed vessel, check out my pictures page for a picture of it). The Borg beam aboard and kidnap Picard, turning him into a Borg (by the name of Locutus) and letting the Borg know everything that the Captian knows about Starfleet and it's usual tactics. Eventually Riker beams over with a crew and kidnap him back. Dr. Crusher is eventually to remove the Borg parts from the captian and he returns to his normal, human self. (All that from the two-part episode The Best of Both Worlds) We return to Locutus in the movie Star Trek: First Contact when the Borg come back to finish what they started. While Picard isn't turned back into Locutus, he does face his old demonds and we learn more about the Borg.
Now we get on to me becomming Locutus. That all started late in 1997. Pryor to that, the Borg had alwasy been my second favorite Star Trek villion of all time (Q being the first) A lot of it probably had to do with the fact that I didn't watch much of the origonal series at the time. A friend of mine was trying to get me to chat (particularly with a spicific Star Trek fan) on this server that was fairly small (and therefore a familier place with only familier people). I didn't know what nickname to use, so he recomended "Locutus" for two reasons. 1. He knew I liked the Borg. 2. The person he wanted to introduce me to had the nickname of "Borg." And that, my friends, is how I got the name "Locutus of Borg"
Now wasn't that an exciting story?
