Mission Status:

Captain Kit Donaree, Commanding Officer, USS Saratoga NCC-1892 had previously commanded the Federation Starship Exeter until her destruction in December 2310. As all those aboard the Exeter who survived the destruction of their vessel boarded the USS Saratoga en masse, a synopsis of the missions completed by the USS Exeter during the past year also describe the missions of the crew members of the USS Saratoga. The year began with the conclusion of a mission to the planetary system Dahl Theta. A science station on the second planet of this system was in deep trouble. It seems that all the flora on this system are sentient beings ... and carnivores to boot. To say the least, it took extreme efforts of the Exeter's crew to rescue the members of the science station and complete Spirit Of Survival.

One member of the landing party selected a stone (a dark blue and black stone shot through with veins of turquoise) as her souvenir of the trip planetside. Thus began Ensorcelled! The little rock must have had "The Force" with her for everyone who handled it, and there were many, were soon bewitched by it. Lucky forthe crew of the Exeter, the little rock was only on a fact finding mission ... to learn more about these sentient beings that had visited Dahl Theta II.

As the year wore on, it became time for the Admiral's biannual journey to Terra. Naturally, he had selected the Exeter and her Captain, Kit Donaree, for the honor. Hardly had the Starship been cleared the space port at Daran VI than a rather loathsome problem arose. Somehow, all of the ship's replicators were serving up large ugly orange bugs with the fare that was ordered. Soon, the Admiral could be seen rushing down a corridor with a plate full of the ugly things shouting "What The Hell's Going On?" Needless to say, all available personnel were soon hard at work trying to solve the problem.

The last mission of the year for the Exeter, "The Sword And The Claw", began with the Exeter and the Excalibur on 'the rim of the Federation', out close to the Neutral Zone that separates the Federation from the Romulan Star Empire. The two starships had the duty to search for, find and rescue a very important Klingon, a person of high value to the Federation. When the smoke cleared, the Exeter was all but destroyed. Summing the last bit of energy from the dying starship, Captain Donaree transported her remaining crew to safety and turned her vessel on a course to intercept and destroy her nemesis, the much larger Aehallh.

The Saratoga's first mission for 2311 is "Cry Havoc ..." the first of a two-part mission scheduled to last well into the year. The action opens at Starfleet's prototype Shipyard - Cathedral Sector, the birthplace of the USS Bismarck, Starfleet's newest and most powerful starship. A momentary inattention to duty by an Ensign Granger was enough to allow ten terrorists to beam aboard and hijack the starship. From there things went down hill. In short order, the terrorists destroyed the station and all her personnel with one volley of her massive fire power. The Jirzzaque from the First Confederacy had stolen Starfleet's most prized starship!
