Interested persons should review the following guidelines very
carefully, and then if interested, follow the instructions on how to get our testing script/guide book.
We are accepting and reviewing only submissions which contain all of our testing guide script pages...all others will be dismissed out of hand. So if you want to apply with us...order the guide from us and complete the script and instructions within it. Do not send ORIGINAL art work.
The testing script contains non-sexual nudity and adult language. An equivalent to an "R-Rated" movie. These are the types of books we produce...if you want to work with us...this is the type material you must draw. We DO NOT hire persons under the age of eighteen years...so don't bother applying. We check your age before we assign anything to you...so lying on your resume won't help any.
You will likely find some of the subject matter a bit disturbing,
and excessively difficult to depict...it's a test...it's not going to be easy. If you can draw our script with no problem...then you'll likely never have any problem with a script we assign you.
Last year's test pages had the similar subject matter...and it worked beautifully...we annihilated about 90% of all applicants
simply because they chickened out...read the script, decided it was too difficult and then just never responded. About 120 did respond though...and we hired
the best two, and they completed three books for us and are now both working for other publishing companies on contract. We don't pay a lot...but we DO pay...and we can get your name on published material...which will get you into the bigger companies. If you want a chance...to break into the professional comics ring...then make this script happen and impress me with your anatomical precision.
We currently have no permanent, full-time positions open. What we do have available is contract assignments which pay $ per page and you can work at home, mailing the pages to us as you finish them. We pay for every five pages received and we have previous employees who can vouch for our prompt pay process.
Okay, enough chit-chat...you wanna know how to get our script and testing guide? Here goes...
Last year, we had a lot of people, 90% that wussed out on us...we sent out guides for free...we lost a lotta money. This year, we are requesting that you send us $3 for the script and guide to cover our mailing and print costs. If you decide to complete the script and submit it to us AND you want your pages critiqued...send your materials, an SASE, and $5. ($5...deeyam
that's a lotta money...yea it is...but our critiques are written and sometimes run two pages, single spaced. It takes time, OUR time...and even if we run you in the ground...sometimes it's worth it just to get a few good pointers out of it.) At worst, you're out $3...and if you want a critique...$8 total.
But I just wanna show you my stuff...I don't need a critique! Yea, okay...then don't send the $5...just send an SASE with your test pages...fair enough. Critiques are valuable and they help pay our rent...but we won't refuse to review any Guide pages that don't have the critique fees...we need artists too badly to do that out of hand.
But I wanna know what's in the script!!!! Yea, I'm sure you probably do...so here's what's in it...chicks, guns, monsters, and techno-crud. Think you can handle it?
