Laughter, Love, and Happiness
Here are my thoughts on life, on
happiness, what makes me happy... what makes me sad, what makes
me cry, what makes me smile...
Life should be a long journey filled with
many experiences, whether they be good or bad. The good ones make
it worth living, the bad ones more often than not teach us
lessons, and also make us cherish those good times. I've never
been a guy who's very philosophical, or shall I say "Deep".
Happiness for me stems from the people
around me. if they're happy, I'm usually happy as well. Having
friendships is important to me, even if they're just casual
acquaintances.
What makes me laugh:
- Kids being kids Kids when they make funny
faces,...
- Parents being kids Parents will do the
darndest things with their kids... like go on the kiddie
rides (the ones with childsize seats).. *L*... dress up
on Halloween...
- A good joke - Dirty or otherwise... *laugh*
I'm not a good one to remember jokes
- Other people when they take themselves
too seriously
Life is too short to be serious all the time...
there's a time to be serious and a time to just have fun...
=)
- Ironybut only if it's obvious... I don't get
hidden meanings.
- pretentious peopleSome people are too stuck
up... too interested in their own little world to care
about those around them.
What Makes me Cry:
- Weddings (Really!)I'm not sure what it is,
but weddings always get to me... seeing the beautiful
bride walk down the aisle... hoping... knowing that one
day I will be at the end of that aisle waiting...
- people dying(especially children)Children will always have
a special place in my heart... their innocence, their
playfulness, and also their wisdom... They seem to have
more of that than we give them credit for... :)
- people leaving for a long timeWhen a loved one leaves
for an extended period, it can leave an emptiness in one's
life... uncertainty...
- lost loveespecially one's first
love... you never know whether you'll be able to love
again... and breaking the connection to that person is
sometimes painful...
- anger if I get angry at someone I love... I
usually have to go and cry a bit afterwards... I don't
like to get angry...
- some songs Amazing Grace being one of
them
- I'm sure when I do get married and have
a child, their birth will make me cry...
- Stubbing my toeA different kind of crying...
*laugh*... but crying nonetheless.
What makes me smile:
- SunshineWaking up in the morning
to bright sunshine is a great motivator to get out there
and enjoy the day... :)
- Children[Example: I'm sitting at
the bus stop recently...on my way home from work. This
mother walks by with her 2 kids... This little girl, who
couldn't have been more than 3 years old looks up at me
with these big eyes and with a big smile and says "HI!".]
So cute! :-) Of course I said "Hi!" back.
- AnimalsSeeing a dog playfully running and jumping...
a cat curled up with it's owner...
- MusicSometimes... if a song or the person
performing it has that little something special, it
triggers a smile in me... :-)
- people tripping (but not falling over)Not trying to be mean, but
it's sometimes humorous to see someone stumble... and
then try to act like nothing's happened... *laugh*
- people who smile at meSmiles are very contagious...
enough said... *smile*
- a pretty girl [or woman, if you prefer
that term... =)]that's
the man in me... ;-)... I can appreciate the beauty of
the female form... All women are beautiful in their own
way...
What makes me sad:
- being alone
- other people being treated badly (for
no reason)
- cloudy/rainy weather
Ok... now my thoughts on "Love" or
rather love in a relationship...
"Love" can mean many things... it
can refer to the sexual attraction between 2 people...it can be
the spiritual connection between 2 individuals... it can also be
a respect and admiration 2 people have for each other. I believe
it's a combination of all of those... at least in the romantic
sense.
To this point in my life, I haven't
experienced love... in that sense... at least not a mutual love.
I've become attracted to several women that I've been acquainted
with, either through work or school. It usually begins with a
physical attraction... then, as I get to know them, their
personality begins to find it's way into my heart. I can tell
when there's something special about someone because usually, my
heart races when I talk to them... sometimes I have trouble
eating... *Laugh*... I smile when I think about them. I cant wait
until the next time I talk to them.
The physical part of a relationship is
important to me... I like to hold hands... I like to kiss... I
like to cuddle... I like the way a woman smells... I like to see
that look in their eyes when they look at me... =). their smile
when they see me... which I gratefully return.... holding them in
my arms...*smile*
To Be Continued.... when I can think of some
more stuff to say... =)
